I have often expressed the opinion that the negs here is a coordinated stockbashing group. If this is the case, it is illegal. For me, it's the only explanation that can account for the relentlessness and sustained nature of the deramping. I've only ever seen something similar on the COPL board and it seems likely that this was the case there.

The reason Trump is bending over backwards to help Putin out, hence the bullying of the Ukrainians to accept a deal in which they lose land and membership of NATO - is to create a quid pro quo for the Russians to not intervene in Iran in the event of a full-scale war, including the destruction of Iran's nascent nuclear programme and installations, launched by Israeli's and the US. The latter see the military defeat of Iran as the only way to kill off both Hamas and Hezbollah once and for all. Iran's oil infrastructure will be destroyed allowing the US and Russia to pump oil like there's no tomorrow, hence Trump's 'drill baby drill'. Once 'peace' is forced on the Ukrainians Trump will insist that all export sanctions will be lifted from Russian goods, including oil. The oil price will remain buyant for years to come as the middle east will burn for a long time before it gets better and the US, Saudi and Russia dictate oils prices. It's horrible but this is how Trump wants it to play out. Incredibly dangerous game to play. The quicker Europe rearms to the teeth the better. We should have done it twentyyears ago. A lunatic like Trump was always going to come along in such a divided and dysfunctional country like the US. Oil stocks will benefit from the madness as the superpowers carve up the world as they see fit.
