I think Botswana along with Namibia are blessed with natural resources and these are only coming to light now.

I stumbled upon a company called ReconAfrica (Reconnaisance Energy Africa Ltd)- its a small Canadian oil company and has acquired rights to some 35,000 square kilometres in the Kavango basin spread across both Namibia and Botswana. It is thought that this might become one of the largest oil discoveries holding billions of barrels of oil and transform the economies of these nations. I have only just started researching on this company listed on the Canadian stock exchange. I thought I would post in case anyone has not already heard of the company and is interested.

My son tells me that our brains are wired up to think negative and we react accordingly. I learnt a nasty lesson with GGP and today could well have been sitting on a 7 figure sum but it was not to be. In my case, this time, considering all the things that makes up KAV, I am going nowhere come whatever the nature is going to throw at KAV in this instance.

As far as I am concerned, mining stocks are the place to be, for now and for the future. Companies like Kavango will, in my opinion, be watched by the big players who are probably envy of the sheer size of the area we control. Sometimes it only takes a few holes and the big players jump in. This point was clearly made by Christian Shafaalitzsky ( EUA) when he talked about this nickel mining company in Uganda which after just few holes formed partnership with Rio Tinto. For all we know, Ben could give us not just one good news but two.
I am sticking with the company with monkey brand superglue for I believe in its projects.

Not forgetting though, diversification is a must!!
