I am with SS on this, it very much depends on the terms of the deal. 20p could be high if we sell out the family silver. 20p could be the tip of the iceberg if we do a single area farm in with a view to self fund drills in other license areas.

FWIW I would not be surprised to see anywhere in the 6p - 10 p range on release of the name of the mystery party paying us an unheard of 250k to be the only company with their hands in our grubby bottom draws.

well....after LSE gave an indicated SP for BPC of 56p I drafted my final resignation letter at the weekend.
thankfully I thought it best to do the deed face to face this morning rather than the more modern fire and forget email method.
imagine my surprise when I checked the live price just before sitting down with HR this morning.

at best unlikely. to get from circa 3p to £23 you probably have more chance going to the casino and doubling up on Red 10 times. They might let you if you start with 3p and walk away with £30. Try doing that starting out with £50k and see how far you get even if you are the luckiest person on the planet they will have you off site way before you hit the £50m point. (You would need some very large brass gentleman's vegetables to place the last bet ... £25m on red ... gulp. and pray) But I would love your dream to come true.

ah go on. it depends on the future potential, If I was certain that at a point in time these share would be worth £10.00 I could enter into a deal today to buy 100million from you at an agreed cost of £1.50. I also would need to agree to pay you a value for the time between now and the specified future date. You could go to the market today and buy 100million shares at £0.0315 knowing that you had a guaranteed buyer for them at £1.50 at a future date. The gamble I take is that they rise above the rate we agree. I effectively buy the shares in advance with your money. You can only lose out on future potential upside - being forced to sell shares to me in future at a then below market rate. Your losses are limited to the original 100m shares at £0.0315 if the company folds. You are suggesting a future value of £2.86. I am giving you a theoretical option to buy at a rate below that in the future... (minimise royalties) 25% retained interest for BPC (wild and hopeful assumption) $75 av revenue per barrel (fair average over time) $1.45 = �1.00 (average finger in the air guess) 300 days active production per annum (82% productive time - probably a low estimate) 1.6bn shares in issue (approx.) rough calc = �254m p.a. at 60% net operation that would give 10p per share available as dividend. I would take that. goes up to 30p at 249999 bpd. or 38p at 350001 bpd. if a typical Divi pay is circa 4% SP cost (a very big if) SP between �2.50 and �9.50 all wild pie in the sky stuff at this stage but just having a dream moment.

In terms of BPC 5pct i suspect that might be a bit low, i expect our fantastic negotiations team from mac to drive a hard bargain. 25% minimum i hope. 40% would be good. Degsy. I think I need to agree with you....sorry. If this major walks it could be the end of BPC or it could just be the best window of opportunity we are going to get. It depends on the reason for the major walking. If it is not quite right for them it might be for a rival. If after detailed reviews they view it as a complete waste of time money and effort we should all have a beer when we arrive at the end of a famous creak without our paddles. I would load up at the right price. Before all of the recent hype i had planned to add more at a lower price. I expected drilling prospects to be a long way off. I had visions of setting aside a million shares for each of the grandchildren.
