It looks like I have joined the party. I did not cancel a buy order placed earlier this week.
I might regret it but it might be a stroke of accidental genius.
lets see where we go on this one.

the Brexit impact will be seen through volatility in UK traded companies.
In part this will be british sentiment but in the main there is the forex impact.
Insular thinking back in the homeland.
There will be ripples through the global market but the sun will still rise in the east and set in the west.
Personally not a fan of man made barriers and borders. I think the biggest issues between people come about where the differences are smallest, and the divisions are man made, typically these come about in border regions.

Furthermore like you I was a member here for many months before posting. (I was an active poster elsewhere but all BBs have some information and interesting points of view)
Regards restraint I often read posts and bite my tongue. Sometimes in hindsight I think I should have posted.

There was an example elsewhere of a poster popping up on a BB to promote Mysquare shortly before the turmoil there. There is a tinge of guilt in case anyone got sucked in but there is only so much help you can give.

Clearly from my handle I am not a professional investor, although it is my main source of income for the next 20 years. Lucky enough to take a very early retirement and too busy enjoying life to think about going back to a 9 - 5 job for anyone again.

Even as a member LSE have no idea of what I hold, what I trade or if I have a preference for tea or coffee.

I might feel different if I had done the research first. But still just a traders opportunity for me.

I may take a small position prior to research as a punt on this but will wait for it to dip sub 28.

Well. I think we can put that down as a potential PI scared off by a post on this BB. A post with information that is still hotly debated on here. Did the major walk? The RNS was unclear, the BB are split 50 / 50 on major walked vs major is still talking but no longer looking for exclusive option. Funding situation? RNS released indicated that they have funding through to commence of drilling activities (paraphrase as i didn't recheck RNS wording) Not clear what stage of the process BPC defined as drilling activities or if this slips if there is additional cost of licence renewal prior to commencement of drilling activities. My opinion is that with cash burn as is we are funded for 2019 at best and will require a cash call or partner before the end of 19. Is BPC worth a look? It depends on your personal position. Do your research understand the potential size of the prize. Understand the scale of risk (both potential and risk are very high well documented and discussed here and elsewhere) Then take a view. Is it worth risking everything you own on? No. Is it worth risking a small pot on a balanced portfolio that you can afford to write off? Maybe. Is it somewhere you could make a fast buck? Yes, it moves wildly on little news. Is it somewhere you could lose money fast? Yes, it moves wildly on little news. I think that is a fair assessment. Off to the beach, play nice kids and be lucky.

Mixed views historically on what happens at licence term renewal this time out. It would be easy for BG to make life very difficult for BPC. The wrong side of the binary nature of this share. But several on here are confident that the renewal is a formality.

For the LTHs:

not withstanding BG, our management teams ability to land a deal good bad or indifferent, the commercial viability of any find.

What is the confidence level amongst the board on oil being in the licence areas?

FWIW having looked at the published geology data and the proximity to other productive areas I am confident there is oil there.

For the traders:

What is the level of confidence that this share price will be up and down on lack of news, sentiment, aliens from the planet Zog, novice investors joining a herd. This movement being sufficient to trade the swings and have a bit of fun making money?

again FWIW I expect a few bumps along the road but on lack of comms from BPC a slow gradual drift down. I am not looking to add any additional exposure on the dips to trade the sentiment and swing. The story would be different if I did not already have a significant LT pot that I plan to hold for death or glory. (FOMO)

When this BB is at its best there is healthy debate, reasoned opinion, supporting fact where available or at least the reasons behind an opinion.
At its worst the attacks on people for having a different view are like a school playground.

Always seems to be at its worst when the SP moves the most. Emotional investing has been the downfall of many.
Take away feelings, explain why you think the share will do one thing, the other thing, or not much either way and let the board discuss the idea, the reasons and maybe a few of the novice investors can pick up a few hints and tips along the way.

There are some very good investors on these boards, there are also some very good day traders here.

EA is as far as I am aware a live document as such it ill be dependant on the final proposals put forward by BPC with or without a partner. BG are not going to give EA without conditions.

in the absence of news I expect the holding pattern of slow gradual drift down to re-establish with additional bounces available for traders.
I am still confident that the assets are good, I am still not sure we have the management team or BG support to see them through to fruition but live in hope.

my dilemma is what price range to try trading to bring down my average. (for those not aware I have a LTH pot and a more recent smaller trading pot here) FOMO on the LTH pot and desire to play and make a few coins on the trading pot.

Still missing. Oh well. Fingers crossed the SP behaves the same as yesterday's no RNS day.

Fingers crossed this drops to just above 1p. Fine margins above the entry price target for some. Then flies on news of a deal leaving the greedy missing out and the shorters in a flap about closing positions. Don't miss the early morning grind much sooner take a stroll to the beach.
