I expect this AGM to be frustrating for investors. I expect BPC to make lots of positive noise without giving clarity on where we are with negotiations. I do have 1 question for anyone going to raise if you don't mind. What is the nature of the ongoing relationship between BPC and Macquarie in terms of cost. Is it a flat fee or is there a tie in to a successful funding deal. For me that will give a good indication of our prospect of progress.

The article is in line with the sentiment at the time it was posted. We had just had the RNS and the ambiguity of it left people divided in terms of how they interpreted it.
Most of us on the BB probably read the article at the time, but for some it will be new so thank you for posting it.

What is clear is that the end of exclusivity was a blow to BPC, if for no other reason than the loss of 250k per month.

I am still open to the RNS being positive or negative.
If there is unambiguous proof that the major has ended negotiations and no longer has an interest in BPC then we will be sub 1p in no time.
If there is unambiguous proof that the major is still in talks with BPC we will see the share price bounce back.

The RNS was either poorly worded or very cleverly worded. Time will tell which.

it is entirely possible that those things could be true.
I am not in a place to offer proof to the board to the contrary.
I could counter with personal insults and if I felt it would be good sport for me and / or the BB I would do so but I have never been one for kicking a puppy.

it is possible that Somm could be a shorter.
it is also possible Somm could be looking to buy in and take a long position but wants a lower entry price.
it is possible that Somm is a holder that regrets not selling at the peak and has become bitter about the situation.
it is possible that Somm holds no interest in the share and is just trolling for giggles.

I don't have anybody on ignore here or anywhere else. I value opinions of both people I agree with and people I disagree with. What is more if the people I disagree with can offer me supporting evidence I will change my view, hold my hands up and let them know I was wrong.

If that is the reason then it could be that the deal is agreed subject to EA approval.

Definitively is a stronger word — anything definitive is official or conclusive.

I suspect one more than the other but I cannot state them as fact in the same way as you cannot truthfully state that the major has definitively walked away. Or, if you can then you are privy to information which has not been released.

Again for the avoidance of doubt I cannot state as fact that the major has not walked away either. The difference between us is I am not pushing my view as fact.

if so, I have taken this differently to you. I take it as a question / challenge from Keith to the BB on the basis of ***IF*** the major had walked

I also offer a correction to my previous post as I did not make it clear there was a break between my welcoming your opinion and questioning the wording on the RNS regards has the major walked or not.

The section questioning the wording on the RNS should have been posted after the correction on the RNS timing. It was not intended as a challenge to you or your post.

Neptunes first your opinion is welcome and could well be correct regardless of if it aligns or differs from my own.
However you read the RNS it does not state that the major has walked. It does confirm the end to an exclusivity agreement. That could be because the major has walked. It could equally be that the terms of the agreement precluded BPC from holding meaningful discussions with other majors and the one already at the table did not want to stand over the project alone. Thus the agreement was required to end to facilitate a different relationship between the major, BPC and an additional partner.
There are of course several other reasons that could have led to the end of exclusivity, all are speculation at this stage.

The wording on your post suggest that the RNS sequencing was that the exclusivity had ended before SP remuneration was to be revised.

For the avoidance of doubt the remuneration RNS was released during the period of exclusivity, it was viewed positively and negatively on this BB at the time.
It was followed by the RNS confirming the end to exclusivity.

RNS confirming extended exclusivity 26th July.
RNS detailing changes to CEO Contractual Terms 6th August.
RNS confirming cessation exclusivity agreement 24th August.

I trust yours was a genuine error rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead.

If we get an unambiguous statement from either BPC, the unnamed major, Macquarie or BG that the major are no longer in discussions then yes the share will fall below 1p and it will do so fast.
The only reason the share is still above 1p is that the RNS was not totally clear.
The question should be what was the reason behind the ambiguity in the RNS
