No plans to attend the AGM this year, I have just done 10 weeks back in the UK. Great to catch up with friends and to act as a source of free (grand)child care so my own children can continue to be productive members of the society.
However, it is time for me to get back to my little patch of the Lanzarote. Who knows, if this BPC thing ever ends up getting drilled I could have a patch big enough for the grand children to spend the summer out here.

As for balanced views I do try. It is still a shizzle or bust share and I am still not convinced on which side I think it will fall.

all depends on the number of shares you hold. The price you can sell them for.

jokes aside, still no change here, still no clarity to the RNS.
I have read it countless times and draw at least 7 different conclusions depending on the direction of the wind.
Does it tell me that the major have walked and that BPC and Macquarie are looking for a singular alternative?
Does it tell me that the major are still there but do not want to go it alone with BPC?
Are BPC and Macquarie therefore looking for a shared partner consortium.
Does it tell me that the major have made an offer that was not accepted, that the offer still stands and BPC have a timescale?

Sorry no answers just more questions. (the same questions over and over again)

In the 70's i was in shorts. Not the kind related to shares. I missed the whole hippy thing. I am a product of the thatcher era. I have had plenty of turd shares. I have had plenty of unicorn shares. You wish you could be me. You just don't know it yet. This share could be your chance.

I am not expecting anything. Made up or real. I don't mind either way. I have written these off to zero and didn't bat an eye lid. If they come good my grandchildren will be millionaires. If they don't come good they will still be fine. Today we will be mostly making sand castles and having fish and chips watching the sea lap against the sand. News doesn't get any better than that. It doesn't need an rns. And you can't invest in what I have today. You can't short it either.

Can I be the first to say that today i wouldn't want to be out over the weekend. Sure we could get no news today. We could get no news Monday. We could get bad news. Just think how it will feel if you are short or sitting on the sidelines and wake to the rns that people have been waiting for on monday. Sure i am ramping. It is in my interest for this share price to rise. It is also in the interests of many others here. There are a few for whom a rise here would be an issue. Each to their own. We all want to make money we just have different opinions or agendas. GLA Off to take the grandchildren to the beach. Life is good no matter how the shares play when you have health and family.

BBOX has played well. Any view on the European arm that floated recently?

If you could support that with some evidence not a personal interpretation would you be so kind as to post the source here?
The RNS does not give clarity that the major has walked only that they are not extending exclusivity and that BPC are free to talk with other interested parties again.
If you have more I am sure we will all buy you a beer for helping us sell up before the final retrace to zero.

One RNS can make a huge difference.

for shorters I shudder at the scale of losses if this goes against them.

still not saying that hold or short is the right position, I have taken a long position but more on historic ties to the share. I have written my shares even those purchased recently to zero in my portfolio.

The next BPC RNS will drive the share price direction.
If it is to confirm the end of discussions with the partner under NDA then below 1p will be on the cards and very quickly.

If on the other hand it confirms the name of the major and that they are looking for a consortium as has been suggested by a few on here it will break through 12 month highs again very quickly.

I don't think an RNS is required to inform the world that SP now plays off scratch having used his time as master chief to perfect his short game.

I would be amazed if BG allow BPC to drill without a partner.
not being negative as I think all of the structure looks promising, I think the economic conditions are good. The less reliant we are on a partner the more of the potential future profit sits with BPC.
So I would as a LTH be delighted to see BPC given the green light to go ahead without a partner. Even with the dilution required.

probably push us out towards 8bn shares in issue (raise circa 100mn at 1.5p) scary
however if successful and proven reserves are the result and our only commitment was the BG cut the upside is phenomenal.

call it 10pct on the 0 - 28bn barrel slide.
call it 5.00 profit per barrel.
call it 25pct to BG.
then crunch the numbers.

Risk is massive.
Upside is life changing.

so, to the debate on the size of placing if and it is still an if it happens.
to self fund a drill it would be a huge placing.
to continue operations for a defined period of time it is simple to work out the value required - the offer price and the time window will dictate the size of the placing and therefore dilutive effect.

probability of a self funded drill is in my opinion very close to zero.
the reason in my opinion is that the BG are not going to let BPC stand alone over the drill. The environmental lobbyists would have a field day if anything went wrong. BPC would go to the wall and I doubt they would obtain the required insurance to cover the costs of an environmental disaster.
That leaves BG picking up the pieces.

If people have a different view of self funded well and probability of BG signing it off I would like to hear why rather than just shooting down my view because it is different to yours.
I am willing to change my view if you can convince me. Other on the board are probably in the same place.

Agreed. But why agree terms pending approval of EA and continue to pay 250k per month. Why not from the majors point of view now sit in the wings and wait. Chances are any other major is unlikely to pay for exclusive talks so if the one already under NDA like what they have seen just sit back and wait.

No EA no drill authorised by BG. No matter how much oil is there if the government do not allow the drill to proceed then the oil stays where it is. BPC BP SHELL STATOIL EXXON all irrelevant they would all be drilling under license from the technical land owner. The BG. They could authorise test wells. Prove reserves and still refuse to sanction drilling. I can't for the life of me see why they would but they can.

I am in a very similar place in terms of losses today. However I have increased my holding early today, I am not far from my B/E point, the losses were only paper as I never had the cash from the shares anyway. Yes I wish I had top sliced at 7p plus as does everyone here.

If we go on a nice ride back up things look good quickly.
If we drop further I lose what I have put in.
I am lucky that having jumped in many years ago at around 8p I have increased my holding mainly in quantity terms sub 1p.
