We all want an invite mr potter.

What i expect is a re-run of 2018 but without the excitement of the exclusivity deal.
By setting my expectations low anything else that is achieved becomes a bonus.

What I would like to see is a different matter entirely.

from memory as I can't be bothered to go back over all of the RNS bits I think SP has accrued somewhere in the region of 63.5m shares. ( a little over 10 x what I have built up )
Not to be sneezed at if a deal is done. But worth just the same as my holding if the company folds.
in terms of dilution set against a backdrop of 1.6bn shares in issue it is little more than a rounding error.

keep your chin up, this is a binary play. It could go to zero, it could make many people here BPC millionaires. I would like to be one of them.

I don't think anyone is under any illusion that the BOD in various guises should be held to account for the failure to deliver a deal. However, what would you propose at this late stage in the company life cycle.
If you are suggesting replacing SP what would that be in terms of a hit to the company bottom line.
How long would swapping out a CEO add to a timeline on any deal regardless of cash in hand positon?
I suspect it would almost certainly speed up the need for a placing. Not sure there would be much appetite for this before any licence renewal has taken place. So that alone kicks the can 6 months down the line.

I agree that if the company fails to land a deal because they were holding out for an unrealistic share of the pot that is hard to forgive - I suspect this could have been possible in the past. With Macquarie overseeing things I hope that there is a more realistic view.

We all invested here in the hope that it would multi bag. We did so knowing that with any share that has the potential to multi bag there is also the prospect of total failure.
I don't think there are any shares out there that offers the prospect of 10x and more growth with any level of guarantee that you will get out the initial stake. If there were we would all be millionaires.

Harry, if you are convinced that the share is doomed then why stay invested?
Why not have the courage of your convictions and open a short?

You could recover all of your losses and walk away with a tidy profit. Or, if the share is not doomed you could get burned fingers. Them's the risks.

I am not convinced one way or the other on this share. I still think that the geology looked good, I thought the region was supportive of oil and gas and that there was a good market on the doorstep.
I have concerns over the time to conclude a deal.
I have concerns that the exclusive major ended the exclusivity.
I have concerns on the board and the government.

But I try to remain balanced and objective on the posts I make.

I would love a cheeky RNS late on the last trading day before the festive break, the scramble for shares to close positions would be hilarious to watch. The BB chat would be better than any Christmas cracker joke. the LTH's could then invest in gold, frankincense, myrrh, or whatever floats their boat.

Me, I would open a bottle of bubbles for the Mrs, an 18 yr old Macallan for me, sit back and enjoy the day.

I reluctantly sold about 75pct of my BMN holding, on the dip down in the mid 40's. I briefly kicked myself for not selling when we skirted with the underside of 50p but then circumstances had not changed at that point.
I say reluctantly as I have been a holder since the dark days of BMN as a penny share with potential - I did not expect the change in direction but have benefitted greatly.

At mid 30's I would gladly go back in if Mrs Investor had not made a successful offer on a house back in Cornwall.
Sadly that has my spare funds tied up for a while.

Sure the trolls will trash this share for a bit then they will move on to the next and the next and the next, most of the shares they trash will recover.
I will not be surprised to see 50p fall here in Spring 19. when they have decided BMN is no fun to trash anymore.

I assume you are not suggesting that BPC is worth the value spent in seismic and other investigations. I give you more credit than to suggest that but want to help clarify for any newbies looking in on the side lines.

In terms of value I agree 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
I just have concerns that 10% of nothing is also nothing.

Brexit, party leadership challenges, spectre of a general election if the leadership challenge does not stop the rot.
The simmering tensions between the USA and anyone DT feels is not helping to make America great again.

against a backdrop like that some of the smarter traders will make a great deal of cash through the uncertain times.

As for BPC we are still no clearer on partnering deals (we could be closer or further away than we were 6 months ago), I am not 100% myself on the licence renewal data.

I agree some posters predict the direction the share will go based on what they want to happen.

there are also a handful of brave and open posters who are happy to share what they are doing, or have done on the board. Some share the analysis or the reasoning they have for making the decision.
They can then be shouted down or lauded by the masses depending on if the direction they have taken a position from aligns with the desired direction of the board.

I don't worry about the times I am wrong.
I don't intend to gloat on the occasions I am right.

My view here remains the same. Mid 20's should be a reasonable number. It could easily go 30+ with the right pressures.
I hold a position that I took up at prices between 13 and 10p. I sold a chunk to take my initial stake off the table.
I will gladly buy more but would like to see 12.5. (don't think the conditions support that low entry at the moment so will start to buy at 14.)

I can tell you how long a piece of string is.

WH was always a high risk high reward prospect. There are always the fall back prospects next year.

For those pointing to the number of dusters and the lack of wet drills, it is just like the dating game when you are young. I got loads more rejections than most of my group. I probably had a higher rejection rate than them.
The big difference was I was never afraid to take the chance, so I was seen as being 'successful'.

I carried the same approach into a sales career, the more you ask the more you sell.
Drill enough holes in enough prospects and law of averages would suggest that sooner or later your drill is going to get wet.

It only takes one strike to be viewed as a success.

If you are reading this board I could do with a favour.
I know you are working hard to secure the best possible deal, I am sure our interests are aligned.
However I think our timescales may be slightly off.
It will soon be Christmas, we have 5 grand children that deserve a little something extra.

each day when I log in the first thing to look for is that little RNS flag.
One day. One day. One day. I keep telling myself one day it will be there and the share price will rocket.

In the absence of an RNS a response to the emails sent to BPC would be nice.
Not just for a company update but to know they are all safe and well.

It is me... not quite as high an average, closer to 5p but with a larger pot.
Planning to average down but not before the price dips below 2p. I expect it will on sentiment and people moving money out to make money elsewhere.

Targeting an average of sub 3p by April when we might start to see some activity again here.

But, I can't say what is right for you. Everyone has different circumstances.
