With Harry it comes across as more emotional than intentional. I have more time for an emotional investor who posts something based on feeling than I do for someone intentionally being a tool.

As is the norm for BPC the biggest part is what is not being said rather than what is being said.
I understand the shareholder frustration on lack of message, I also understand from BPC side why there is a lack of message if negotiations are as they suggest ongoing.
Whilst we would all like to know where the sticking points are in negotiations, putting them out there in black and white does little to strengthen the BPC hand.

I am still confident that the oil is down there, I am still hopeful that we will get the chance to find out, I just do not think we will secure the deal that BPC are trying to hold for.

At what stage do they as a business admit that it is better to have a small slice of something than a whole load of nothing?

I have been here long enough to see the SP go up, fall back, go up and fall back.
As with most of the investments I hold I have a belief in the prospect. Not always in the management ability to realise the potential prospect. Not always through lack of ability on their part, often circumstances beyond control.
I have used the winter hiatus here and at GWMO to acquire more shares and average down.
If we strike lucky I do well, if we don't it is not enough personally for me to lose sleep over.

Short term traders play a game too risky for me.
My personal sell out on LLOY where I knew it was a bad call was for a property deal rather than a better share prospect.

not sure on future value predictions here in terms of double value in a month or two or 20x within 6 months.
However, I have been the person in the past that picked up LLOY at sub 20p after the crash. Had a change of circumstance and a different opportunity. Sold most of my LLOY in the low 30's knowing they would recover but needing to release significant cash.
I could have doubled up with LLOY but if I had held on I would have missed out on a very early retirement.
One risk v reward profile was better than the other and I took it.

Same could be true here, that person may drop 45k today double it next week and be in a 10 bagger by mid May.

BPC moves at a leisurely pace 99% of the time. The other 1% all LTH get our hopes up that this could be the big one - or for shorters this could be the end.

good possibility on that first RNS POC.

I added this back when it was a penny share going in a very different direction to the one today.
sold the majority in low 40's having missed the peak at close to 50.
added a few back in the low 30's thinking it was oversold.
will probably look to average down again if this level holds.

I think on partnership deal we could see anywhere between 8 and 15p based on nothing more than where we were during exclusivity deal. anything beyond that would be dependant on what was in the deal.
- just my speculation based on nothing more than past events.

20p during drill phase if we have had to raise £xx million to be a 40/60 partner would be very different from no raise and a 15/85 partner.
- just numbers to support the story rather than any expectation or prediction on my part.

if we use a 60 day drill timeline as an example.
first 20 days will see a wave of new money form both PIs and IIs pushing the price above fair value.
probably a degree of profit taking from both new money and LTH in the next 20 days. volatile pricing.
nervous committed holders seeing out the final 20 days. price falling as less new money influx.
then the appraisal and results. shizzle or bust phase.

so I both agree and disagree that 20p is optimistic depending on the deal and the stage of drill.

the potential for BPC this year depends on the progress made in terms of funding to drill (in whatever form that may be)
If we secure the funding the share will in all likelihood rise in hope and expectation of what the drill may prove. During any drill phase there will be those who sell before TD is achieved. Valid strategy to lock in profits. Even if we had a declared COS (chance of success) of 75% there would still be a 1 in 4 chance of failure.

If we drill and prove viable oil in the quantities suggested by the 2d and 3d analysis the SP will be many multiples of where we are today even if we have a 10 - 20% carry.

If we drill nothing but dust or water the SP will be close enough to zero to call it zero.

as an investor / speculator measure the potential upside against the potential downside and understand your own risk exposure levels.

1 million shares today is around 20k.
1 million shares at zero is a 20k loss.
1 million shares at 20p is a 180k gain.

I made the 2 million offer to beadle at 1.6 on Monday based on the confident prediction they had for a 1.5 opening SP Monday.
