Just been reading some research (old ) about the accuracy of chartists predictions on the forex market. I have generally considered chartism (not the 1848 ones) as something closer to alchemy than science and the head and shoulders references makes me chuckle. However I am now coming round a bit and think if enough folk believe in them it may have a self fulfilling function at least in the short term . So my current thinking is to take notice when they coincide with the fundamentals . The theory that they explain market psychology is attractive. So keep posting the charts especially if they predict and lead to a sharp rise in the SP

I posted a eulogy of CB on the XTR board as I am a little disappointed with the way the shareholders treat our dear leader. After an hour and a quarter on the phone to him I am hugely impressed by his breadth of knowledge and his strategic thinking. Given our assets and the cu and gold price our SP should be flying.

We dont publish our reports on the BZT BB (apologies to XTR for using this space) we do however include any shareholder on our membership circular post meetings which gives full notes of the discussion. Wow everyone is very impatient . And no I will not send CB a text Papaduke . Primarily because he would ignore it or tell me to b....... off . Just remind me .. what was the SP six months ago.? And I wonder how many more multiples will have to be before the Jezzo is stops moaning .

No I hadn't read that thread before I posted. Quite amusing and I have no problem with this sort of banter whatsoever. I had actually just come off the phone to CB . At BZT we have a group of investors who have banded together as the BAG. BZT Action Group. .Every couple of months CB gives up an hour or so of his time to discuss the company and its prospects with us and we report back to our members. It is usually a very interesting and wide ranging commentary from CB . I m always impressed by how involved and dedicated he is. We are extremely grateful for his time and his insights . He also has more energy that folks half his age.

PS I have just bought more as I cannot believe it will stay at this low level

I sometimes wonder if most of the posters here really appreciate what a brilliant chairman we have. He is intensely knowledgeable and very hard working. He is also very astute. He predicted the shortage of copper a long time ago and the current price is no surprise to CB who was banging the copper drum way before the smart Alecs at Goldman Sachs jumped on board. He has brilliantly positioned his companies to benefit from this. booming demand , And put his own money in whenever needed. He knows everybody in the industry and more importantly he understands what drives them. E.G what motivates AA. As he says if you want a super steady income buy shares in Tesco or Lloyds but if you want the excitement and potential of seriously profiting from the next supercycle which is just beginning to hit copper then back CB and his companies. The industry recognises him as very wise prospector and we should be grateful he is at the helm. I just wish he were a bit younger but he has set us up and we can sit back and watch as the world beats a path to our door as the shift towards renewables and EV gathers pace.

I have added both here and to Bezant this morning. This raging copper price is going to push up the value of these large copper deposits dramatically and I hope this will soon be reflected in the SPs. We have massive prospects with BR and BZT likewise in Mankayan . Plus both companies have interests in Kalengwa which CB recently described as the jewel in the crown,. The 200K buy suggests XTR is getting on the bigger boys radar.

CB said last night that if Mankayan were in Nevada there would be a queue of suitors between here and Richmond. Well we know it is not in Nevada but the mining regulators in Manila have tried hard to position the country a lot closer to "safe"jurisdictions than in the recent past. The Philippines is now very keen to attract mining investment and has made its regulations a lot more mining friendly . This relaxation coupled with the skyrocketing price of CU and gold has made our asset much more attractive to Majors. Once the MPSA has been renewed in a few weeks the local community can look forward to a prosperous future as Mankayan gets established as a major producer . BZT shareholders will hopefully benefit from a special dividend like before. Last special divi was 6p as the BOD shared out the deposit paid by prospective purchaser. Many more shares now but 1p would be good.

Interesting that Edison valued BZT at $35m without the option being exercised in 2011 . Now we have three new licences in Africa and still own Eureka and Mankayan . Copper is $4.50 lb and the company is valued at less than $20m. We need Colin to keep banging the drum. He cannot be happy that it is still so undervalued.

Plus the softening of the regulations in Phillipines should help. To be fair we were due to block cave not open pit so not directly affected by this relaxation but general change in regulatory climate plus huge rise in CU makes Mankayan much more attractive.
As CB says if it were in Nevada or Oz he would have sold it yesterday. There are three types of jurisdiction: grade 1. Good as in US Canada Oz SA etc

Grade 2 .
High up Andes but reasonable country mining regimes and
Grade 3 . AK 47 country with iffy regimes like Venezuela the .......stans and Russia. Hopefully Phillippinnes is edging away from grade 3 and closer to grade 2. The Chinese are still probably our best bet.

Giyani metals the Canadian company that holds the adjoining licence to our Metrock licence is valued at $50 m and this K Hill license is their principal asset . We have similar geology They have water problems and we can" help them". Our license has very promising prospects and does not need deep drilling as the Manganese is near surface . This could prove a very valuable asset and CB does not normally like to "dance around ". The type of high grade battery manganese (EMM) is in very high demand. we expect news soon from Metrock. BZT has a lot going for it atm.

What the government wants is activity that benefits the country and we have been paying for years upto 150k per year in social costs according to LR when we discussed this three years ago. CB has made it clear as Pricey says that we will not lose the license in any event so now worries there. Even if we have to take it back our selves . We are due a BAG discussion with CB next week and we will of course bring this up at the meeting. And we will pass on any news.

We knew it was a poor deal at the time for Bezant but with our limited resources and the low copper price in Nov 2019 ($2.70) we had little choice. We now should get a much better deal with the new Mining climate in Manila .

DVH is absolutely right . This RNS is merely confirming what we already knew two weeks ago. It is serendipitous that this deal has collapsed as it was in my view a firesale in Nov 2019 when CU was $2.70 and the mining climate in Manila was still murky and relatively unattractive. I understand it fell through due to technical issues with the RTO and listing problems.
We can get a much better deal in todays climate ,

CB made it quite clear in his sharetalk that there was a lot of activity in the drilling sector all over and especially in Oz and it was paramount that the good crews were reserved or we would lose a lot of time. Not surprising given soaring prices atm.
