As to consolidations and whatnot ... there have always have had too many warrants floating around in BZT . The current low price allows little opportunity to cash in any mind you and some may expire out of the money. All copper miners have been suffering lately. A sharp drop from $4.80 per Lb to$3.50 has caused a lot of SP pain all round. The recession if it it hits us will have been largely priced in and if we escape a hard landing and the war is curtailed we may see an improvement. Copper prices are very much a measure of where things stand right now and they do not reflect long term factors,. As far as I understand BZT is still pursuing its two major objectives. What i would like to find out is what price CU needs to be in the medium term for these two projects to be viable. I hope we can discuss this with CB at our next call which hopefully will be at the end of the month.

The drop in copper price is mainly down to reduced demand for construction work in China. The supply is quite static but demand is elastic so a drop off in demand can lead to wild swings and copper is suffering badly. However the Chinese economy will pick up after the defaults work themselves through and we all know the EVs and sustainable energy story needs copper .
What matters for BZT is what copper price do we need to finance our key projects. Hopefully the copper price will recover as quickly as it has dropped and price will not be an issue. I would feel a lot more comfortable if CU could remain stable for a month or so.

I agree with Taverham . It is the falling copper price causing the sharp drops. Until this stabilises the SP will remain in the doldrums . From $4. 80 down to $3.50 per lb is a big jolt over a month or so

Bought in another 950,000 (showing as a sell!). Trying to keep up with the Bird is a bit beyond my budget but now reckon to have 25% of our chairman's holding and will be buying more if it stays around this level. As the great sage of Omaha says buy when there is blood on the streets (if you have the funds!)

Mr T there is a persistent seller of BZT who offloads on a near daily basis a few million shares . Regardless of price it would seem which suggests they did not pay for them. With a tiny base like we have this selling is having a disproportionate effect and is pushing us back to record lows whilst we should be moving strongly in the opposite direction. They clearly do not share our views of the company's future and I hope they are soon sold out.

PS. If the Sp stays at this level I shall be wading in again!

To be fair to CB he has said we are no longer in control of Mankayan (just a large minority shareholder in IDM ) So news is not really down to the BOD. I have no doubt they are as keen as the rest of us nonetheless.
Given our BZT goal and primary focus is now on creating two new 64k CU mining operations next year, both shallow digging and trucking operations I.e cheap , . Perhaps we should be looking at key milestones towards achieving this target. Sentiment will only improve as oilandgas says when we get news that appeals to the market.
lets look at what we can consider market worthy news and what progress we have made so far.
1. Last week June 8th we were informed that " the addition of Anglissides suggests that our original prognosis of 8k tonnes pa contained cu in Cyprus is very feasible."
2. This week June 14th we had news from Namibia that "the the assays to date (8 only) confirm that a strong copper gold mineralization extends to the surface from the deepest drill intercepts" We have another 15 drill results due shortly. We seem well positioned to meet the 64 k targets in both projects
And CB has confirmed that we are on track with both of these projects. The next news should also include the submission of mining applications , news of processing plant developments and more assays results. BZT has a small share base and very low volume so a few persistent sellers maybe contractors or consultants who were probably paid in shares can contrive to keep the SP low but eventually will break out if all goes t' plan and so far so good. I am really looking forward to this company making the progress CB is planning for us.

Thought I would try add to the good vibes on here ....
CB has made clear over recent months that the major objectives of BZt are to establish copper gold mining operations in Cyprus and Namibia in 2023. producing 8-10k tonnes CU each He has assured us all is on track . This will deliver a profit of approx £40 m pa over 8 years minimum. Some detractors say this is pie in the sky but CB is confident and has lately put more of his own cash in on the open market.as have other LTH's .
The last RNS from Anglissides suggest the Cyprus half of the objective is looking good and we expect news from Namibia soon. CB is on record as saying the drilling in Namibia was excellent (everyone a coconut!).
Finance: CB says non equity finance for both projects is available . The only proviso is that project financiers like to see their money sunk into the ground not on planning. So BZT need to take care of non digging expenses and Mankayan may well help here. In any event as we approach the start the SP should reflect the progress and a small raise should not be a problem> Much as I enjoy Kwaduko and his anti CB rants I hope we shall soon hear no more as he exits when the SP reaches his .31 intro price

There has been some talk here that the low SP suggested a lack of confidence in CB's ability to successfully to deliver the two mining projects he has promised ...namely Troulli in Cyprus and Hope Gorob in Namibia.
We have to thank our chairman for putting his own money up . This is the ultimate test of confidence.

As has been said many times these notes are available to all shareholders. Nonsense to suggest it is a secret cult or whatever. The notes are a near verbatim account with no censorship or spinning. We are all shareholder so we obviously want the company to do well but there is no spin and we basically report back what was discussed.

Hi everyone . We had our call with CB last thursday. Notes should be out tomorrow morning. Steady progress and still on course to be producing next year. Hopefully that should improve the SP, Readers of these posts and the RNS's will be aware that we are aiming to have two mines set up for production in 2023. Two mines producing 8-10,000 tonnes each.p.a should put us in a much happier place.

For what it's worth CB confirmed to us in a telephone call that he had been recently in Oz. This came up in our regular bi monthly discussion about BZT. He gave no further details.

However you are completely wrong to bang on about Botswana as if I invented this . One of our calls happened while CB was in Botswana. Others have been from Portugal or Dubai.
Of course news should come from RNS s . We only ever try to get hold of background info and glean as much as we can on current progress. Many chairman take calls from investor groups . This is not unusual and if you signed up you would get exactly the same access as everyone else. We rely on the chairman's good will to spend an hour or so and yes we are polite. But not sycophantic. You can sneer as much as you like but we are conducting these BAG meetings on behalf of ourselves and fellow shareholders. On a semi regular basis and the notes are always circulated within a couple of days. There is absolutely nothing "irregular".

Hoping to book a call with CB in first week of May Mr T. Would be good to get more news before then .IDM Cyprus and Gorob. An update on these. would be handy. Time to put some meat on these bones.

Just been watching a Warren Buffet video. If you like the product and you like the management then if the price is cheap you should buy it . Well the product in our case is copper CB is our man and .172 is a cheap price I hope so I have jumped in again although I had not planned to this morning when I got out of bed. My girlfriend thinks I am mad for constantly buying. Sadly I advised her to buy when the price was nearly 2p and she has not forgiven me. I have tried to explain the averaging down concept but she looks at me with a mixture of bewilderment and concern. I have had more success in explaining cricket. (she is French). I do hope CB can get our projects going soon and she will eventually realise what a genius I am! We have some way to go atm.

Production

During the fourth quarter net sales were approximately 10,885 barrels (100% oil) resuting in approximately $767,000 of revenue. Average realized sales price for the period was approximately $70 per barrel.
Hopefully Q1 will be higher and soon. Add Fouke 2 (31%) and new Permian wells (100%) and SEAV's figures will be close. Anyway don't be so vulgar WeylandYutani it doesn't suit you.

I like this a lot. Internal funding , quick turnaround, expansion of assets, more news imminent . All shareholders should be pleased with this. (resident troll excluded)

Does anybody have any sensible idea of when we can expect news on Fouke 2 output. ?

Well Mr T all I can say is that the closer we get to production the better and more compelling the story becomes.
We have 20.000 tonnes already indicated Jorc tested....and many more thousands inferred in and around the area inc Petra. There are 15,000 tonnes according to Martyn at Anglisides and not to mention the 14 mines at Kalivassos !.....it cannot be long before the market catches on .( 64K tonnes is CB's Troulli target and he is confident )
Troulli is the first of many in Cyprus we hope and as you and I know we have a lot more going on elsewhere.... Gorob, Mankayan Kanye etc. All for the price of a nice house in Kensington.
I was in Cyprus 3years ago on a golf trip and would recommend the food and restaurants which were surprisingly good and the course was brilliant . Aphrodite . The locals all spoke very good English and many sounded like they were born in Tottenham . (which it turns out they were!) Shame about my golf though. Anyway would love to go back in a year or two to visit the working mines. That would be fun.
