There are so many ways of looking at this.
Merc as an automotive company need to get greener on engines, AMG won’t buy into this as hence Tobias storming out of a Merc meeting when told to go to screaming 4 pots and new he’s at Aston.
Daimler own Merc and can spin off AMG back to an independent,
The Merc racing team can continue or be sold off.
Merge Aston and AMG , Toto runs the Aston works team with amg engines, and thEn supply all or there Merc engine customers in F1. Daimler would have a massive stake in the AM/AMG company, Toto who has 40millof his own in AM would run the F1 team protecting his own ROI in the process
Not sure if any of you have seen me post a theory that Aston Martin and AMG would merge, then not long after Aston Martin would become a works team with Aston AMG supplying engines as Merc do now, I also reckoned it would be as Merc withdrew from F1 and Toto wouldn’t have a job but could run AM/AMG works F1 team.
Merc will only commit to a 12 month Concorde agreement and I’ve just seen this

As always just my thoughts
I’ve posted on this before, my thoughts based on knowledge from working for Merc franchise few yrs ago and looking at the investment and the people involved,
Stroll will own majority of AM, Daimler own 5% and own AMG, head of AMG now at Aston.
2-3 yr plan, Merc want eco engines AMG cannot spell eco and build big power engines all hand made. Aston make hand made cars , kind of have an engine dept but buy AMG.
So.. Merc spin off AMG back to its own company , then Merge AML and AMG 50/50 ish Stroll and Daimler. Merc pull out of F1, The new Aston AMG company carry on supplying race engines to all Aston AMG now a works F1 team.. ohh an Toto who now doesn’t have a job with Merc F1 does have 40 mill in Aston of his own money, needs a Job, .. and Aston have anew works team with the AMG old boss working for them... I just wonder and it’s an easy picture to paint
I think this has now started to go up as they cannot keep it low any more.
Let’s just consider these facts.
Stroll buys in and rescues....
Palmer invited to leave
Business refocused
Moers, man with great reputation within automotive so massive player and statement
Daimler own 5%
Toto Wolf sink in 40 mill of his own money.
New business strategy so far using vehicle physical stock
DBX then reminds the markets that Aston is here to stay.
Dare I suggest there has been behind the scenes manipulation of this stock, but you can only hold it back so long
Aston Martin in my opinion are not going anywhere but up....
I had the benefit of working for a huge MB franchise, they mentioned a possible AMG only fancy show room, with harbour! Monaco and Sydney were tentatively discussed. So.. Daimler own MB and I believe have a percentage of AM, Daimler can spin off AMG at any point it was in independent but wouldn’t have the back office to support engine building as a compete company, AM do have an engine dept I think but nothing great, but have the business structure to support it, Daimler own AmG by which time stroll will own majority of AM , I can see a perfect marriage
My thoughts and I did share some yesterday... Aston and AMG will merge, that removes the issue from Merc of eco friendly 4 pot screamers and allows AMG to build big and powerful, Merc can then leave F1, the AM AMG company will have a full works team and supply engines as Merc do now.. everyone wins, especially if you look at who is working where... my gustimate on time line is end of 2022 when this will start happening
Just my own theory, Head of AMG joins AM, Merc want to push for hybrids, AMG as a company within a company, joins Aston , hand built cars, hand built engines , customer engine supply line,
This is why Toto, Tobias and Daimler are not stressing, there is a much bigger picture behind the scenes and a proper long term strategy, company will end up owned between stroll and Daimler is my guess

Hi all I’m new here but have been watching and reading the posts here for months
I am holding 1500 Aston shares @ 57.3p
Some food for thought, I did some work for a large Merc franchise, 3 yrs ago and they were talking about a AMG only show room, something real fancy, even talk of one with its own harbour in maybe Monaco or Sydney ... so my theory , is at some point AMG will split from merc, Daimler buy up Aston, so then you have the Aston Martin Group, hand made cars , hand made engines...
And the guy that was so good for AMG will be running AML, oh and by coincidence the company initials AMG... just some thoughts and ready for comments
