Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
But it does mention the other 2 big investors

I have been on this Daimler theory for a while, but I recon they will spur off amg as a stand-alone , then do a deal with AM as amg now better suited to am , than to Merc who have to now have engines that run on fluff, the big bust up at Merc Tobias had was when he was told he was going to have to build eco 4pots , he stormed out, but if Daimler had a master plan to move amg , Tobias would end up back running it
I’ve watched and read a lot of the reviews of the DBX, I have seen some criticism over the fact that it’s based on last yrs Mercedes tech.
I have given this some thought and would just like some opinions.
To me the Mercedes older command based system was pretty good, prospective DBX owners, will more than like have owned a Merc?
Or would I like the latest and some time glitchy new tech where I have to spend a week learning it ?
I do sometime feel we get hung up on the latest technology just because we are lead to believe we should... when we don’t actually need it
Sorry I had to add this
https://www.planetf1.com/news/toto-wolff-sebastian-vettel-move/
I still recon Daimler will spin off AMG back to an independent as the bigger power units don’t work for the mass market Merck’s, so then for a large stake for Merc in aml , aml have the engine dept fully functional, better than there current , with external customers the buying aml engines.... food for thought
For sure buddy, that’s why it’s more of an F1 interest really, but new factory, newly worked with Seb before too, it’s a whole new car for 22, so it would be a good time to get him on board...
Long long term this whole brand will just get bigger and better
Just found this story, I understand this is AML share site but this is really interesting for F1 AML fans
https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/68015/is-stroll-taking-top-designer-adrian-newey-away-from-red-bull-racing-.html
If it lets me paste the whole link
It is only a matter of time before Aston Martin F1 becomes an official works team.
Strolls business model is along the lines of Ferrari’s , he owns the F1 and is kind of running AML , I am guessing he will wait until Aston are more financially stable before merging the 2 as he can fund F1 without the strain on the core business
I’ve heard there is a press photo shot session at the Nurburgring this week, DBX official and one of the hyper cars .. name escapes me
Also DBX selling well
Middle East release soon but Australia doing well

If I post links it seems to delete them so add www. To the above
Let’s get this board calmed and back on topic
What’s the big attraction or need for Hamilton?
AM want a German driver for the German market, Wolf can come across as he runs a race team.
It would be better publicity wise for AM challenging someone like Hamilton ..
Would an F1 car branded Aston Martin command more money/better sponsors to be associated with a brand such as AM?
Or
Will it’s on track performance dictate who wants to be associated?
By way of example, Williams, when doing well, as they have, used to have massive sponsors, now they struggle due to poor performance.
To me Williams does not have the off track, away from F1 , brand name to draw attention if F1 performance is poor.
Aston Martin obviously does, regardless of the F1 car not being a full works car, the Brand association’s would be there....
Thanks, but now arguing my self....
Question to throw out there...
Would a car branded Aston Martin command a higher quality secondary sponsorships....
Laurence may be thinking get rid of Perez and his sponsors to make way for bigger and better ones.
Laurence could also get sponsor ship for all his other brands..
Thoughts please.
Btw, my grandad left me just over a million... drachmas :-( think I got £5 for them :-)
Just found this
insideracing.com/index.php/formula-1/12553-perez-backers-trying-to-block-vettel-aston-martin-deal-at-spa-reports
Sorry you will need to add www they don’t seem to post when the whole link is used.
I did mention this last week..
I recon Lance will sit out next year, have Perez and all his sponsor money opposed to giving him millions to leave, Lance is only 20, and could become 3rd driver/ test driver for a year, that way Laurence can pay his son off, much better to keep the money in the family..
I do expect ridicule if I’m wrong :-) ,
But that the passion out of it and look at the business decision, Lance has already come out and said Dad will do what’s best for business
No.. not Hamilton 2022 would be Vettel and Lance , it’s just a matter of good business not to pay off Perez, think business not F1 , Lance has already said Dad will do what’s best for business, and not paying out millions and instead getting millions from Perez sponsors is good business, Lance is only 20, he will take a kind of back seat as reserve and test driver for 2021 and learn .. ready for the new car in 2022
planetf1.com/news/sergio-perez-sponsors-sebastian-vettel/
Stick the www in front.
Just wanted to paint a new scenario , How about Vettel and Perez in Aston Martin F1?
if Perez would cost millions to remove from current contract and his sponsor cough up millions
Laurence being a shrewd business man, keep Perez for the remainder of his contract, save and make millions from him, Lance can be driver number 3 and test driver, Laurence saves millions which I’m sure means his son won’t go short.. and then 2022 Lance back in the seat... just more rambling thoughts.....
