Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
'Calder' Here's hoping you become a wealthy person from that transaction. In fact, here's hoping we all eventually get a healthy return. GLA
Here's hoping your right, absolute superb news if this is correct. I nearly sold the other day, glad I didn't now. GLA - Fasten your seat belts and get ready for launch.
'Very Soon' The last article/video clip from Rolls mentioned the regulatory reviews should be completed by 2024. Now that isn't really that far away, but unless something has changed since last month, then we're still in for a bit of a wait. There still shouldn't be nothing to stop orders coming through, as the planning alone will take a long time and the regulatory requirements can be met within this period. Once all regulations have been met, I suspect the technology will be sold worldwide. GLA
This is great news for the long term, just read this on 'WNN' (World Nuclear News), obviously the regulatory requirements are still pending, as mentioned by Paul Stein: "Rolls-Royce SMR Chairman Paul Stein told the Reuters news agency in April that he hopes to get regulatory approval for the design by mid-2024, with the first unit producing power by 2029". Definitely worth a read, thanks jnb
'Growth' typo, sorry!
Got to be honest and say that RR has been a cash cow for the day traders, and you can't blame them either. A friend mentioned RR this morning, said he was thinking of putting a few bob in, it might be the worst thing to do short term, who knows! But long term, its probably still one of the best stocks for future gowth, ever increasing order book, financials improving with cash flow, there is so much going on, DYOR. I look forward to the day I say, 'I wish I invested more', and I honestly believe that day will come.
The harsh reality and risk of trading, it's such a terrible shame that people have lost so much money with CINE, I've read it time and time again across the bulletin boards, 'have a diversified portfolio', it's so hard not to get dragged into a share by averaging down, been there, still got the T shirt. Fingers crossed that the guy is just venting his frustration.
It's only a matter of time before JPM change their rating too. That's a higher rating!
I remember it well J45dev, my wealth dropped dramatically. Its been and will remain an emotional journey, but hopefully we will see new highs in the next 12 month or so.
Regardless of your opinion or what happens today, the credit rating is a great step towards recovery. Moodys rating really does matter for future investment. Hopefully the shorters will back off and we'll be a lot happier. GLA
"straight to the bank to pay down debt."
That's what they should do. Let's hope it dosent get swallowed up in R&D.
Not sure where the price will go when the ITP money comes in very soon, or even if RR will issue a RNS.
Any thoughts where it may go?
I've got to give you credit CW1966, selling at a profit isn't the easiest thing for a lot of people to do, but it's lucrative for sure, I've starting doing it more myself now, albeit I can't sell my main holding in RR. JTT did make a good call at 20 though, Respect.
I'm also invested in Nanoco, already up 65% and holding. Samsung are giants and won't go without a fight, but even the mighty might have to settle on this one. Fingers crossed, GLA. Whilst we're off Rolls, Joules are in talks with Next, looking promising for a £15 million investment off them too. RNS issued this morning.
I agree it will, we could do with some decent news in the next couple of weeks, and we will, I think we're all feeling deflated at the moment, I know I'm in as a long term holder, but in all honesty I do feel I could of made a better investment elsewhere. But hold I will, and tomorrow we start again. I'm not ramping, I'm just hoping.
I think the problem is, News dosent pay the bills, cash does, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a nice little rise in a couple of weeks when the cash comes in. At least I hope we do.
I really can't see a 10% rise tomorrow, not a close for sure, the figures would have to be outstanding. Once we are upgraded by Moodys, then the real fun will begin. Pension funds etc will come. I would like to see share buy back too, then we'll know that Rolls are also thinking of us investors. In the next few years we'll wish we added more for sure. GLA
I think there's more chance of the Pope coming for tea. But hey ho! You just never know.
Your quite right, the chart does indicate higher, maybe this will be a good sign of movement in the right direction. Should imagine or certainly hope for a good week ahead. The downside is, Rolls do typically announce good news when the s**t hits the fan elsewhere. Here's hoping for good results on the 4th, backed with a positive day on the ftse.
Not on the London Stock Exchange, 89.27.
