I've said nothing negative. 1a is a big hurdle to get over.

I remember reading something once that stated around 3 quarters of drugs never get past phase 1. Whether they fail or the company goes under. That's what I ve always had as a ball park. I dont intend to stick around much more than a successful P2 with data that suggests a p3 should be done. I'll be out at that point. If not before.

I'm still buying and will do to a pound. Pay day next week so I m good with news coming at the end of the quarter or even being a little late. The could well be a dip between 1a news and funding but it will be a good opportunity to buy more.

I think a few here need to understand the size of the hurdle 1a is. Upto 75% of drugs fail at phase 1. Notwithstanding funding, It is the single biggest hurdle to get over. A successful 1a is very good news but by itself, it may not set the SP on fire. If the board can't get a licencing deal with good 1a data the either they are no good or the compound is no good. It will take time to circulate the data, have the pharma review etc. So it may not happen until late summer with p2a trials spun up before the end of the year. And for those thinking the above timescales are a long time to have cash tied up in risk. Welcome to Bio investing.

IMO, just 2 options.

A. complete buyout. Unlikely until we have 2a data. Possibly 2026?

B. An on license where a pharma picks up and pays for development the compounds.. Sareum get an upfront payment and milestone payments.

Trying to forecast the value is tricky until we know the value of any deals but if all goes well (big if). I think we are looking at anything between 500 million and 2 billion by 2026 to 2028? It's all guess work and the will be big peaks and troughs along the way.

I've been here a long time. Still just about on a free ride but am buying every month and will keep doing that if the good news continues. Certainly upto a pound a share. I will also take advantage of spikes as that is how I got my free ride in the first place.

Peel are now the useful scapegoat.

I personally don't think 'they' did. Peel will have struggled to get funding over a pound and the board left it too late. The RF funding was out if desperation. It could easy have been Strand Hanson who pointed us at RF or even one of the board.

The PH thing has been done to death. Whatever you think. PH were engaged to find investment for SAR, that is litterally what they do. If they were as corrupt as done here think, they'd never get any business. I think Aber is closer to the truth than anyone. The were engaged to get some institutional investment, they couldn't and have been let go. Hopefully because they are no longer needed.

P1a RNS should be enough to see us back at pre RF market cap. So around 70 or 80p. The market will still be cautious until funding for 2a is sorted. Of course, the RNS might come will licencing or funding news then all hell with break loose.

I'm 55 at the end of this year. Retirement is planned for my 60th birthday. This is without my Sareum shares. Not sure I want to 'retire' but if Sareum gets to a valuation of £2 billion (I think they can). It'll be hard to get out if bed at 6:30 every morning. I feel anything less that £10 and the board (or compounds) haven't done their job correctly.

I have been very prudent here. Not invested anything but disposable income. Some here have got a lot of shares and some, if they havnt top skimmed are almost sitting on £7 figure profits. I expect a lot of sells as we rise towards a pound but those shares will be bought by punters expecting £2 and so on.

I summary. I'm staying around until the end of phase 2. And we'll see what the SP is when we get there.

I think Sareum have passed the type of funding Hybridan state there. Reusing funds from the market or institutions means dillution and generally a lower SP. Sareum need around £10 million to be financially secure for the next 2 years and they also stated no dillutative funding a couple of RNS ago. That means a licence or some diet of partnership. Sareum also has a share of 500k shares in an unknown US pharma. If those shares were to materialise, they need a mecinism to convert to cash. In an unlisted company, that can only be done via a broker. It's obvious the company is in deal making mode. How far progressed we don't know but timing the release to just before Tim goes to Bio World feels like he wanted to go with no baggage, just trial data.

I'm not panicking. The jj deal was a buy out of a subsidiary of the company. They bought the subsidiary because that gave them full global rights to the compound not the parent company. I'm saying if the rights to 1801 is under Sareum Australia, then we could do something similar. I've always wondered how 1801 and 2 could be legally split and this scenario is an option.

Does this company own the rights to 1801? If yes, then, presumably 1801 could be sold off but we keep 1802.

The Johnson deal is unusual as it's cash, not upfront and milestones. They didn't buy out the company just a subsidiary that has the rights to the drug. Not had time to look into it but I guess, this was the cheapest way to secure full global rights. With 1802 possibly having a higher value than 1801 but not ready yet. A similar J&J type deal could happen here. Question is, Is the Sareum company that was setup in Aus for the trials a legal entity that can be sold? I'm still going for a 2 billion valuation with good P2 data ready for phase 3. The window for a TO is rapidly closing IMO. Once a licence deal is done, thats the model going forward.

Yes, an RNS stating top line results show the compound is safe and tolerable upto x mg per day. The board will review the data over the coming weeks blah blah blah. That sort of thing. Full data readout with plans for taking it onto p2a at the end of June.
