Someone said they get feeling "something is going on in the background" What do you think that could be? I don't think there is any need for conspiracy theories? Kid yourself all you want. Post the bid and ask price at the time of the trade. You will see that the 80,000 was sold well under the bid, which is what you would expect for a trade that size.

That 124k trade @ 08.44.33 is a sell. Look at the bid and offer at the time.

Surely - I think 150p will be tested before 130p. I won't pledge to eat my hat if I'm wrong! But I will post I got it wrong and congratulate you on your call if it turns out the other way. It's chugging along nicely today. Come on 150p!

The above is the private equity company that made an unsolicited takeover approach to the AA. Bob Mackenzie the shamed ex-chairman had several meetings with them. At the time of the meetings the SP was closer to 300p. I wonder if they are still sniffing around?

Surely - The same reason it rose 100% in six weeks. The momentum is still with the shorts reducing. A rise into the FTSE 250 would be good for a 10% rise imho, the shorts should do the rest. To rise a 100% and then retrace 10% is very good in my book. Of course this is all in my honest opinion I could be wrong as many of the shorts got it wrong as well. Good luck. Atb. Popeye.

Surely - I hope you are well and I fully understand you taking your money off the table when you did. Do you think AA will be promoted back to the the FTSE 250 in the next reshuffle? It's very close at the moment.

Good morning Billy - I'm glad to hear you are still holding. I'm also holding the stock. The FTSE 250 reshuffe will take place at the end of this month. It's very important that the SP of AA remains around the current levels. AA need a mkt cap of £830m for automatic entry back into the FTSE 250. Billy - I think using the term "wild swing" is a bit over the top. The SP had doubled in 6 weeks so a 10% retrace was fairly light. I think 250p is a bit ambitious, but I think 150-160p is achievable in the short term. AA should go back into the FTSE 250 in next month's quarterly review, which will mean tracker funds will have to automatically buy. GL. Popeye.

Surely - They will continue to close imho. I was well underwater at one stage with AA. I bought pre results! I started buying at 136p and kept averaging down, picking stock up right down to the low 70's. I was tempted to lob at breakeven or 10%, but it's recovered so well, doubling in 6 weeks. Personally I think it's a hold for the time being, there's still plenty of shorts to exit, which is still helping to drive the price up. Good luck. Atb. Popeye.

I had a stop at 140p for 20% of my holdings that got taken out yesterday. I've just bought those shares back again at 130p. There was always going to be the inevitable retrace. The spike was mainly caused by the shorts getting caught offside by the S&P bonds rating remainig unchanged. Also the end of year results were fairly upbeat going forward. IMHO I think the low 130's is a good base level to move higher from. Good luck and always DYOR.
