So ITV has profits in excess of 7 times more than Channel 4 yet it’s value is only slightly more than 3 times that of Channel 4. According to my rough calculations, ITV should be around 180p.

Interesting that the Naked Trader was expecting a share price rise after the excellent results and was shocked when it actually fell significantly. He had stop losses in place so all his shares were sold before it reached the lowest point. However he has bought some back as he thinks the fall was an overreaction although it is not clear how many. Nice to know he has faith.

If the so called analyst “experts” sit down and study the full financial statement properly, they will realise the share price action of the last 2 days cannot be justified in any way. Considering the share price was starting from a ridiculously low level anyway, the forward predictions show a company expanding its content with minimal costs, considering the ingrained annual cost savings. This will show a big profit in the coming years, without the increasing expansion of the Studios. I have no doubt that this company will go from strength to strength and I think the strategy from the BOD is spot on.

This share price is being manipulated for some, as yet, unknown reason. All you can do is wait until the manipulators have finished and then the share will revert to a price which reflects its true value.

They are not moving to streaming, but will have a service to complement their traditional tv. In addition they will still have their Studios. If they hadn’t done it, they would have been criticised. Porsche talking absolute nonsense.

Wow. Who saw that coming after the best results in the company’s history? Just on the fundamentals and the ridiculous P/E ratio this must be due a big bounce, if not tomorrow definitely next week. Are commentators really saying this price collapse is due to a proposed increase, albeit not large, in investment in the company’s future streaming business. Something else is going on here which may become clear shortly.

So what is the P/E ratio at this ridiculous level. Can’t be because they are increasing their content spend marginally. Something else is afoot!

Strike123 is absolutely correct. Investment in ITVX is minimal in the whole scheme of things. There is definitely something more going on here. Maybe in the next day or so things will become clearer.

Hawi fully agree with your comments. In the past ITV share tanks because of lack of innovation in the streaming area. However, once they commit investment to their new age streaming service, the SP also tanks. They can’t win can they?

I think a stock market investigation is warranted given the share price action on such brilliant results

Wow. Amazing figures. If it as any other share you would expect at least a 20% share price increase but who knows with ITV. Reinstatement of divi will lead to more institutional buying.

Don’t worry if the share price tanks in the next few days because of market conditions. Eventually it will rerate and show fair value is between 170 - 200p
