Looks strategic - last time he did similar was a rollover with CFD's. BOD need to bring in new deals and existing deals to start generating decent EBITDA. At theses levels still looks an interesting investment as remains cash generative ,but not the compelling one it once was.

Look, Pharma in the US is a very corrupt space - all sorts of competing interests in play. That is why I was saddened by Summ having no alternative, due to its inability to monetise its C-Diff program on a timely basis, but to form a collaboration with Sarepta. It has given up a good deal of autonomy in addition to potential future shareholder value, and in my view it will come under pressure from Sarepta to do things its way as they control the purse strings. Its all about P2- if results are stellar I would expect Sarepta to be taken out. Its own treatment which has highly questionable results data will also face huge headwinds from payers, so Summ will truly become the last man standing.

In my opinion, I think in my view and in line with my best guess is that surely there would be covenants/restrictions placed on how the €40 m maybe expended by Summ. It would take a lot of explaining to Sarepta's shareholders that it had been used to progress Summ's C-Diff program leaving the DMD program underfunded in the process. Happy Ollie ?

I think unlikley for 2 following main reasons (1) I quote verbatim from a Pharma sector specialist with deep knowledge ''zero chance of a C.diff deal (nothing wrong with ridinilazole as such, just universal industry indifference to new C.diff treatments and (2) had there been a realistic chance of a deal it would have been done earlier to fund DMD through to Phase 2 rather than enter into the collaboration agreement with Sarepta - that was never the plan but there was no alternative as cash was running down.

To reach that conclusion, surely one needs to know the strike price and whether or not they are being exercised to sell in the market. Otherwise, unless there is a time limit on the vesting period ( which likely is) why not let them run and use your cash for other things in the interim?

you are comparing apples with oranges - earlier years are irrelevant (development stage) now has Sativex approved in 20 countries and a pipeline of other cannabis related treatments for diseases with mass global markets. Summ is still at proof of concept stage for DMD and C-Diff Phase 3 for which there is much market apathy amongst big pharma. Market cap reflects perceived risks of drugs failing to secure approval at next stages.

I find you to be a hypocrite, the $100,000,000 placing facility put in place, was heralded as a competitive advantage to any C-diff deal, to show any counter-party that Summ had a back stop. That failed and you still think the Sarepta collaboration was a good deal for both parties. Market does not seem to agree with you.

Summ has given up a lot of potential future value out of necessity to remain solvent for a paltry sum which speaks to the markets perception of the likelihood of successful Phase 11 trials and the market currently attributes very little value to the C-Diff program, a view which I subscribe to, unlike the ''in the bag merchants''. The market is not always correct and that is the conundrum.
