I described only one of the investment strategies commonly used by most institutional and individual investors. Many people here do not realize that opening short positions is often used to secure the portfolio they are building in shares. This is how I perceive those created by pension funds, also in terms of the period and share value valuations when they were created.

I used this strategy over 20 ago with good results, but I was younger and accepted more aggressive and much more risky strategies. At the moment this aggressive and risky are only up to 20% my portfolio.

As I understand you know a lots (or nothing) of different investment strategies, but you never hear about securing position on the company's block of shares being built or one that is already held and a role of shorts positions. But doesn't matter. I opened this subject just to talk about next week ITV share's price predictions. Will be nice to hear about it...

End of this week ITV share price was little under my 71-75p predictions. But if we are looking around full market £0.7064 is not so bad. Because of this and all of my private point of view on the world and UK share market (if we don't have any "black swan" in politics and both conflicts in Ukraine and Near East) I think that next Friday we should get share price not less than £80 pence, but I predict as much more possible target price between£0.85 to £0.95 pence.

I am not care about"shorts" made by pension funds. I wrote about before - as for myself they are buying ITV shares and "shorts" were "insurance policy"against accidental declines in the value of shares and relatively secured positions in the real portfolio of their purchases.

I wrote about full reduction from 1.75 to 1.22 % in just a couple days. It's mean that we are talking a decrease about 21 million shares....

They have a nearly 5 months time, probably minimum quantity which they need to buy, always choice to buy over the limit from bigger shareholder....

But we should to remember

As more shares they holds before 11th April, they more money ITV will save on divi. Because of that (but not only) I think that most of buyback should be before this date.

Today's close price - still thinking that minimum 71 pence.

I repeat again. You are a ITV shareholder - keep your shares and if it possible buy more. Over 5% divi when inflation forecast's are about 2% up to the end of this year. Very good forecasts for this and next year. Up to 8-9% shares in buyback. We waited so long. Think before want to sell. Fu**k trolls. Good luck for everyone real shareholder.

As I reading and understand you are still trying to make a sh**t in investor's mind. I hope that you're on the shorts now...

To real investors.

Nothing change. Be patient. You waited so long, that you should be very careful with any "sell" decision now. Respect the risk. Trust your previous decisions and to your "nose". Remember that some of the trolls are on shorts, some just trying to scare you ...as predict 5 pence per share in next 5 years as example. Think positive. If you're right, if we are right - we are more than doubling our money invested in ITV from today's price level. As many will sell today, as more don't have a chance when price will double... remember.

Good luck for all real ITV investors.

Daft is that this commpany all assets are worth more than double like shares market price, but some people still trying to manipulate "because still to expensive..."

I repeated and repeat again. Just look at company's book, buy and be patient.. and don't count 10% profit but on at least doubling or more invested money.

I predict that highest daily price will see on the end & if not any bad word news at weekend, minimum 3-4%up on the start on Monday

The budget on Wednesday is probably in favor, so on Thursday maybe we will see my expected on the end of February price - £0.80.. or more if forecasts ITV profits will be good (as I predict too).

But again, it's only my private opinion.
