RedBird, as another so-called "investor," wanted to be the executor of ITV's bankruptcy estate. That is, to acquire the STUDIO cheaply and leave the rest to investors satisfied with the arrangement. And the entire deal was based on its stake in ITV shares, based on the capital of the acquired company means partly paying with the money of the rest of ITV shareholders... And it didn't work out, and trolls and idiots are crying that Dame ignored their offer. Because, of course, they could have quickly sold ITV shares for £1, and what would happen next is irrelevant... However, as of today, that 10% of ITV shares doesn't reflect any real power. It certainly allows for price manipulation (through short positions), but it doesn't constitute the real power it did 10 years ago, because in the meantime, stronger players have entered the market. And this new this long term shareholders are benefit from the stable dividend yield, they are allowing ITV to build value too, and at some point will allow for a fair takeover bid, taking into account the company's fair value and a premium of several dozen percent. Anyone who doesn't understand this mechanism should never have invested their money on the LSE, especially in ITV shares. The trolls who have been saying for years that ITV is worthless are not worth mentioning. You don't argue with idiots, and their place of residence should be a psychiatric hospital. The ex-dividend date is next month. I'm betting that in the meantime, the share price will at least will back again minimum up to 83-85 pence. Believing in the end of the world and placing stop orders on long positions is, in my opinion (in the case of companies with such dynamic growth and in the current financial situation) pure folly. However, I strongly encourage all casual ITV investors here... Nothing teaches us better than the losses incurred and booked on our portfolio. In the worst case scenario, you'll end up like our local Russian troll, Tomalley, who's already sitting in the psychiatrist's hallway.
