For the benefit of everyone that clearly hasn’t read the rely, nor perhaps understood what it might actually mean?
Lars Mejern Larsson has asked me if, in the light of what has been said in the question, I intend to take the initiative to make the permit processes more efficient.
Sweden has good conditions for being at the forefront of climate change in business and industry. Recently, we have seen large and important investments in Swedish industry that contribute to climate change and electrification. These are investments that will also create jobs, contribute to increased competitiveness and more welfare.
The Government considers that processing times should be reduced, in order to strengthen the conditions for companies' growth, competitiveness and adaptability. Long processing times have a negative effect on companies' growth and competitiveness.
A special investigator must submit proposals that facilitate environmental and climate-improving investments and achieve faster and simpler review processes (Directive 2020: 86). The inquiry will present its report on 15 December 2021.
Efficient permit processes also require that the review authorities have the conditions to carry out their assignment. In order to shorten the processing times and strengthen the work with environmental assessment and environmental supervision, additional funds were added to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's and the county administrative boards' administrative appropriations in the budget bill for 2021.
Kallak is an ongoing application...
