I don’t personally think that any of these things are inter-connected, or as perhaps you suggest, that the pieces slowly are coming together. Our application has simply been a mix of incompetence (BEM when under the stewardship of CSP and the Swedish Authorities throughout) and Politiking by the successive Swedish Governments. Having met a couple of high-profile UK politicians, few are as bright or intelligent as they are given credit for. But that said, whatever the true intentions of Swedish Politicians, they have been successful in causing delay and confusion in this decision making process. But they are now backed into a corner. It’s down to a yes or no. Or so you would think. I expect more twists and turns. And the higher politicians rise, the less accountable they become. Welcome to the layer cake.

I for one are very grateful to lbjj for repeatedly highlighting the historical governmental and company failings in this process. Taking time-out from what must be a very busy day indeed, to succinctly post his much valued opinions. The emotional energy expelled is, quite frankly staggering and generous. As a shareholder, I will forever remain indebted. But why stop at BEM? Surely there are other equally deserving cases? The mania that has engulfed the crypto market for example? Would those gamblers not benefit from your wisdom too?

At this juncture, the only response that truly matters is from UNESCO. The last letter and documents were submitted on the 17th December. This is now the date of reference...
