Wrong board, but I mentioned that fast fashion is bad for the environment as a counter argument against someone suggesting that their customers would boycott them on ethical grounds. If they were that ethical they’d think a bit harder before paying a few quid for a dress they wear once for the ‘gram. Nothing hypocritical in that. I’m not an ethical investor.

I think it’s a good investment, boohoo are having a 50% off sale right now, they’re still growing exponentially and lockdown has increased online adoption rates by about a decade. How much sticks is unknown, but it won’t do their prospects any harm. They’ll no doubt finish their review and conclude they’re squeaky clean, easy money. DYOR, IMHO, etc etc...

Agree on both counts FT, a dodgy clothes manufacturer has nothing to do with us and I’ve taken a position in Boohoo today. Bargain!

Yup, it is based on what was said, but it’s also the circumstances, it was the day before they declared the prototype ready. The initial data must be promising to state confidence in achieving the minimum targets they’ve set themselves.

Delays aren’t great, but that’s all they are. They’re not going to pop up and say they’ve changed their mind. It’s currently out of their hands, we’ve learned that they’re waiting on approvals that will unlock sales and while they wait they’ll be looking to secure more. O&W, that’s a good reminder that they have the ability for high throughput manufacturing, that is ISO registered, and they have the supply chain sorted. They’ve taken on an additional member of staff to help with registrations. It’s an annoying wait, but based on that info there’s £50-60m in revenue sat waiting to be cashed. Just for starters.

He’s not hands on, he’s got tap dance routines to choreograph. Doing presentations / providing guidance and direction / popping balloons at parties / setting high standards is his job, not wearing a lab coat - unless it has sequins for the grand finale.
