IandB, I'm sure the ambition of being on a par with Roche et al and retaining rights remains, but it's not realistic to think they can get anywhere near there off the back of their first candidate. It's more likely they'll get taken over once the tech is proven anyway

I agree Mikey, the Q&A responses didn’t dodge anything and were honest. It was refreshing to watch a presentation and be better informed of exactly where they are. Previously I’ve been sat with more questions and needing to fill in the blanks but not this time. Good stuff, onwards and upwards from here

I agree zoom, given the amount of stuff going on. They’re a (possibly) profitable clinic stage biotech. Not bad at all.

4m is more than enough to keep the lights on. Keeping it simple at a quid profit if they get a couple of years of sales then that’s about £100m on the bottom line and enough for 4/5 years of development. Other diagnostics will come online during that period. Assuming HUA appears soon and the fabled Asia manufacturer appears then it’s a decent profit stream.

The interims are exactly what should have been expected, it’s a summary of the past. There was never going to be any grand reveal, there never is, it’s a copy/paste of RNSs. I’m shocked they don’t hire Myles to lend a hand given his expertise.

Overall, the hype and fluff has gone. As noted they’ve transformed both sides of the business. The transformation hasn’t been as explosive as we’d all have liked, but they’re set up for future success on both sides and progress is being made. It’s an ok update, I wouldn’t stretch to more.

The end of Sept has passed, along with the middle of Sept and every other prediction made by that ignorant donkey riding paranoid fool. His ‘in the know’ predictions are utterly pathetic. We’ve been told they’re working on HUA, suggesting it’s on the way is not ground breaking and all the sycophants that scurry around after him need to consider he’s got a worse track record than Sujood.

gje306, your post at 14:35 is spot on. There is little to nothing in the share price for the LFD as PresAl psssed all over that bonfire in his last investormeet performance. As noted, the share price dropped to the current level on this basis. People (certain ones obviously) are trying to build some expectation for tomorrow, but the reality is that the bad news has already come and gone and that's why we're flapping around 115p ish rather than the ATHs. There are no bumper contracts, the ink is still in the well so it turns out the CEO was utterly full of it when he suggested otherwise. The positive is that the potential remains, albeit with little expectation now and that the remainder of the business can continue to deliver as demonstrated today. Let's see what tomorrow's shumper performance brings.

IandB, I’m not suggested it was ever an educated plan, I think that’s the position they’ve landed in. They’re just lucky that the studies suggest that natural immunity appears to be as effective and possibly longer lasting then via jabs. The only credit they deserve is for the vaccine roll out that has reduced cases - in the summer - to a manageable level and given them the opportunity to go for herd immunity. Winter will be interesting…

Neut, completely agree, testing in certain situations, globally, will remain and it remains a large market worth being involved in if you have an easy to use high performance test to sell.

AgentB, it’s because the govt want it to spread. Their plan is herd immunity via a combination of vaccine and further spread giving natural immunity. They’ll only act if the NHS become overwhelmed - which it will but they’ll just suggest working from home. They’re risking new variants and vaccine escape and never ending disruption, but they’re going to ignore it and just provide annual boosters. I still think a 100% sensitive test is the perfect solution to keep the prevalence low and protect the borders with PCR follow ups to determine variants, but there you go.
