Yes, they’ll keep abreast of developments in the industry and some might be keeping a beady eye with a view that the tech is worth licensing or outright buying. I didn’t say they wouldn’t be aware so don’t misquote me. However, we’re not literally curing cancer, let’s not pretend the entire pharma world is on the edge of their seat awaiting the much fabled Science Day. We have tech that can hopefully deliver highly toxic drugs without side effects. It’d be a stunning achievement, groundbreaking and certainly transformational, but let’s be realistic, there won’t be any wild hysteria in the industry - it’s one of many brilliant advances.

I suspect big pharma are a bit busy with their own clinical programmes rather than running around every company that has an update. I’d also imagine they’re capable of reading an update rather than being in a room.

As for the share price, if ‘it works’ (tm) then it’ll inevitably move higher. Patience is all that’s needed at that point. I’m sure a front page piece on the Yorkshire Post will light the blue touch paper.

Rippers, the 3% cut off makes a lot of sense, suggesting it's Abakta's decision is the weird thing for me. As Crowfoot has said, IG make their money on the spread and purchase the underlying shares. Having the cut off avoids a TR1. No idea why that's abakta's business unless they have ethics guidance that suggests they don't associate with spread betting. Odd, but there you go.

Assuming that they’re not holding a science day to announce it doesn’t work, then the current stockpile of cash is plenty to see them through many an inflection point. Maybe another cash generative acquisition. They’ve raised cash at the best time - peak hype - and followed that up by raising more in the best way. They even turned down a load of retail money. We’re invested in a very strong business now. They’re sat on piles of cash, are generating more and have the potential via licensing to see one of their prospects to market full owned. Nice place to be, all for the bargain price of about £1.10 a pop.

There have been arguments that if they go beyond the current DE that they’d need to provide details to justify. So, it’s possible that’s what the Jan update is - another DE, but good news everyone, it’s because it’s working beautifully so far. Not long to find out. I’m happy either way

This share can rise rapidly, so any indication that ‘it works’ (tm) and that the chance of success has improved will see things change. Who wouldn’t sell yet another kidney to get more if you know it offers cancer treatment without side effects

Likelihood is that is the reason for delays. If they issue the Q4 update you’re looking for and they’re still waiting for this cohort to complete there’s absolutely nothing to say other than the trial continues. But we know that - is that the update you want? If they go for another DE they should communicate why as it’s different to previous advice, otherwise they should just get on with it and update the market when they’ve something to say - which may or may not align to what looks like being a daily repetitive thread.
