Couldn't come up with exact figures but...........

Currently, CZT (Cadmium Zinc Telluride) technology is not as widespread as traditional Sodium Iodide (NaI) scintillator crystals in CT and SPECT scanners. However, the adoption of CZT technology is increasing due to its superior performance in terms of image quality, sensitivity, and compact design.

While it's difficult to provide an exact number, it's safe to say that a significant portion of scanners are still using traditional NaI detectors. The transition to CZT technology is ongoing, and we can expect more scanners to adopt CZT in the future as the benefits become more widely recognized and the technology becomes more accessible.

The future definitely looks bright but please can someone clarify something for me: Why do OEM's already with a supply chain still need to come to us (KMK). Is it down to the strength of our tech / product being stronger than that of their own?

Ctk1, I couldn't agree more although I feel we do need to present strong counter arguments rather than just referring to their posts as "drivel". That aside, a great day.

I can't help but feel that, for some within Kromek at least, the business has been treated far too much like a 'vanity project' to date, focusing on R&D to the detriment of sales and financial control. They now have a great opportunity to reflect the efforts shown to date by their very talented pool of scientists within, through hopefully showing more consistent and even greater deal making prowess than that which has brought about today's news. Not a nasty criticism, just an observation.

I think the change will start to come when others actually see / compare the image quality which Siemens produces through this technology.

I will quote from last year's interims as a reminder is obviously needed: "We heavily focused on managing our cost base and increasing the efficiency within our business, which remains a key priority." Great! But you need to do that every year. Just saying......

I think he means a "small step" in as much as "one swallow doesn't make a spring" and it will have been small if the BoD do not build on this opportunity to the extent we are expecting (through future large contracts / profits). That, as opposed to the "jam tomorrow" that we've largely seen to date.

I agree about the 2p comment being deramping but nobody has countered my serious point so far: Today's interims are lousy and show a loss-making company with great products but a BoD who are hanging on through one large deal. Based upon today's interim figures, where will the profits come from (probably through a change of culture) if they continue as they are and once that deal's over?

Today's is a great deal but based on the BoD's performance to date, THAT deal will merely offset further likely losses elsewhere - unless they get their act together, which I sincerely hope they do.

Guly, ah, the old "Derampers" insult. That usually comes from those who have no factually based counter argument because they'd rather bury their heads in the sand than look at the facts. Feel free to show me what I've missed in today's interims that would make them palatable - other than this single deal?

Bit harsh, Skid35, as it wouldn't be 2p. However, I do agree about today's deal being the only thing that has prevented a drop in the SP based upon today's blimmin' awful interims. With the quality of the products they have they should be producing far greater and more stable growth in profits than they have to date. The performance of this BoD is reflected is the longer term SP decline. I would welcome any counter points of view as this is potentially a great company but only with the right management.

JDS15, I resisted the urge to mention the Iron Lady's name for fear of prompting a stoning! Whilst realising that she overstayed her welcome, people forget what a real state the country was in at the time of her arrival. Some of her critics might also want to revisit how she rose to such prominence, which party brought about her election and why someone of such strength was needed. Deja vu, eh?

Whilst accepting the last batch of Conservative's were absolutely useless, promising money that wasn't there every time an issue came up, the only time that Labour is able to be honest at present is when they are able to do so (express their gloomy blame) through blaming their predecessors. They seem less keen show similar levels of "integrity" in instances where the likes of Reeves and Miliband have done so much damage IE through the last budget and the ongoing totally unrealistic NET ZERO transition targets. Other party's, in the interest of balance? None of them look to have the quality of leadership the country really needs at this point, in my opinion at least.
