we have had to cut back the second Rotations in most cases presumably until we have greater PAX on the ones remaining. I am disappointed but not surprised as the 300%+ Taxes on top of the fare are beyond belief and daylight robbery. Someone tell Mozambique about the Laffer Curve where lower taxes can have greater total Tax collected.
our E190 FJI flew to and from Dar Today ? Not Just Circuits
Yes when I clicked on it , it said Media Cannot be Played
Fjetcrazy the Twitter how to pay clip would not play when I went onto twitter ?
Article with interview with Nico headlined "Airlines should not be used as Political Footballs " https://www.fin24.com/Companies/Industrial/an-airline-must-not-be-a-political-football-ex-saa-acting-ceo-20171109
I hope our new Management have now learnt what the former Management experienced. Do not plan a schedule or sell tickets until all the irreversible documents of permission are in our hands. We cannot keep letting our Social Media reputation be damaged by Official Procrastination and Protectionism.
In contrast has Fastjet been able to step up operations in Southern Africa when the airline commenced domestic operations in Mozambique with regional services planned from Maputo to reportedly Johannesburg, Lusaka and Harare. There have also been suggestions that Fastjet Zimbabwe may soon get traffic rights to link Harare to Bulawayo following the persistent failure of upstart FlyAfrica to take to the air and fulfil their published schedules.
Let's Hope that Wolfgang gets hold of this story and gives the Tanzanian Civil Aviation some bad publicity.
An Absolute Disgrace the Tanzanian Civil Aviation should be totally ashamed of themselves, Letting down their own Countrymen with complete disregard for their fellow Tanzanians inconvenience. Heads should Roll. What happened to Open Skies ?
Indeed, Maybe the realisation will dawn that Taxes of 300%plus on the price of the Air Fare making it 4 times the price it could be, must be deterring people from using Air Travel. That is something THEY can change for the better.

I don't think the statement in the article "thanks to Fastjets very recent acquisition of boutique air safari operator Federal Air " is factually correct. It was not an acquisition, merely a brand agreement, which is entirely a different thing.
WoW Fjetcrazy we should be busy then. I still feel however that 300%+ taxes on the fare is criminal, and can only conclude that the people who set the licence fees have an interest in the Bus Service and try to deter people from flying. Flying is for everyone not just the rich and powerful. Mozambique will make less money from fewer passengers and ****** significant growth unless they apply realistic and fair taxes.
Hi Oilyguy I have queried the same thing twice before, as each time they relist HRE-LUN it seems to happen initially. I don't believe It will actually happen until Fastjet officially say Zambia has approved it. I believe that they are being difficult. It looks like that the indications were it would be approved and they were put on sale and as it got closer the sale of tickets were pulled, presumably because said approvals had not yet materialised. The sale of tickets has started and stopped twice. I therefore think that it is not yet approved and probably those flights one way are a computer glitch. When the first passengers board and land, I will believe it.
It seems strange that Fastjet on Facebook claimed that the first Mozambique flight by today was to Beira, and also the press release by the Civil Aviation institute also said today the maiden flight to Mozambique was to Beira with Tete and Nampula to follow. According to the schedule and confirmed by Fjetcrazy the flight to Nampula was 6am this morning. Why then does all the publicity say the first flight was to Beira ?
I wonder why as BBM has been sent to Service Mozambique as registered ZS-BBM is Part of Zimbabwe's fleet ot 2 BBM and BBH. Why has this been done, were we not told other aircraft were to be used. Will this affect our ability to expand in Zimbabwe as planned or is this a temporary fix ?
Fjetcrazy on looking at the picture in big format it would appear that the picture in question is that of ZS-BBH which should be a HRE to JNB flight
Looks like these are cancelled today as showing sold out and not showing as scheduled at airport departures, but Maputo to Beira X 2 are showing scheduled. Why oh Why do we not manage every new launch as scheduled ?
Do we know yet what the Aircraft registration numbers of Aircraft we are using from tomorrow in Mozambique are ?
I said exactly the same thing the same day as the Website was launched. It has taken it from a reasonably good website to a very poor one. And This is Progress!
