It is bad enough going from 2 flights DAR-HRE-LUN-DAR to 1, but a total snub to the good people of Mbeya who may be weekly users of our service to go from a daily flight to no flights for 3 weeks. To expect them to return in the same numbers or more in 3 weeks time when we were to go to twice daily flights is unlikely in the extreme. We should have subbed the flight or something else. This bad timing breakdown will affect our reputation just when it was getting better.
Monday flights DAR-HRE-LUN-DAR cancelled till 30th October. Also, Second Mbeya flight now does not start till 30th October. I do not know if this means we only get 1 E190 for 16th and the second at the end of the month ?
Really bad news and timing. Looks like Kili & Mwanza subbed but no flights to mbeya until 16th which will not help route growth at all. Also no flight to HRE-LUN till next Friday. I Feel our Social media feel good factor will take a hit.
Looks horribly like that FJD is out of action for 2 days with no substitute. This was always a possibility with 1 aircraft doing all the work in 1 country. Shame any breakdown did not wait until we had 2 E190's to not cancel complete program. Still currently scheduled to fly late Monday evening Dar-HRE-LUN-DAR
Once again HRE to LUN has been removed from the booking schedule. I wish they would make up their mind and get approvals before letting people book.
before we connect the rest of our network to Mozambique as it seems from the start no-one can connect to our other destinations according to a facebook reply. Regarding Mozambique we will be announcing our route map soon but we will only being flying internally (domestic) within Mozambique.
I Wonder where FJI is as it is not in the picture parked up next to FJH
What is that Mark on her nose ?
Our Mozambique start date must be starting to sell not starting to fly. I Suspect that Mozabmbique flights will just appear for sale immediately after placing approved around 16/18 Oct. for some date in future.
Will give us a lot of extra destinations, linkability and awareness exposure in a very short space of time. Good to see Nico (whilst he does not update us very frequently) just gets on with the job and tells us what things ARE happening. Not as before what MIGHT HAPPEN.
Very Good News New Places magazine out on 1st October for a change https://user-buey55r.cld.bz/Places-Magazine-October-2017 It Says from 16th October we will be flying from Maputo to Beira, Pemba, Nampula and Tete
now showing on Destinations list with Flag on first page but not on Map just yet showing Airports being serviced.
I Think it was more of an expectation rather than a promise
It seems odd , since the flights have been available again it seems there is a nearly 3 week difference between the HRE-LUN flight to the LUN-HRE. I fail to see how you can take someone there but not bring them back ?
Still only Facebook site operational. Have the other 3 been discontinued or suspended awaiting newly updated destinations not able to release yet. ?
In real terms this is not a new route. We are landing there and taking off there anyway in taking passengers from HRE and LUN to DAR. It is therefore a near zero cost means of increasing pax on that bit of the flight between HRE and LUN. If successful, it could increase complete flights by adding a Wednesday and over time gradually increase flights until daily.
Fastjet, That indeed is good news. I can only imagine that they were selling tickets but had not got all their ducks in a row in terms of authorisations and suspended selling flights to force the relevant authorities to get a move on or take the blame. This would seem to have worked as I now feel they must have the authorisations and are able to promote leading up to Christmas Travel. It was probably wise to do this as any later cancellation so close to Christmas would have been a Big Problem, if passengers had to rebook at Christmas. Just look at the Mess Ryanair have got into.
Hopefully that last piece of the jigsaw will fall into place before close of play today and allow the news we are awaiting to be released before the weekend.
We have now been nearly a week with no Facebook pages for South Africa, Zambia or Zimbabwe. It is therefore either that they are/have been updated but cannot be released because new Destination Content has not been released in the time window they thought. Or they have decided to only have one Continent Wide Facebook page to save updating 4 sites. We will all have our own opinions of which of the above it may be.
Fjetcrazy/Carbonix for some weeks you have been able to book flights from 16th Nov on HRE-LUN but last night all bookings changed to sold out causing my posting.
