Colin refers to the massive data centre, the world's biggest, which has had planning permission in Utah. Stratos is scaling back the size but it will still be colossal, and will need vast amounts of gas. O'Leary, the VC behind it, has said AI data centres are as much about land and energy as tech. A partnership makes a lot of sense for both parties, but it doesn't have to be exclusive - Utah is becoming a major hub for AI infrastructure, and that's just one market for our gas.

"we can now finalise [not further progress or advance, but finalise] our offtake agreements" - so surely imminent. Hopefully the interview will give us some hints on how close we are to farm-out too. I do get the 'two cheers' responses btw, but let's celebrate milestones as we reach them, however tortoise-like our progress.

I see it differently. The fact that 2 years ago SGR, as Harryshang reminds us, swapped debt for equity at a price almost twice where it is now and has continued to invest since, is a very bullish sign.

I hope so too. On non-ops i think since last year they've wrapped williston results into a general Ops update, may have to wait for an update with finals end of June. But a meaningful Paradox update on farm-out and gas offtake... that could be any day now.

I agree about regs and negs. Negotiators are looking at big sums and long timescales, muddied by the unstable energy price and supply situation, AI and stockmarket bubbles and recessionary fears. How do plan and agree terms to everyone's satisfaction in this environment?

It takes all sorts, papa had his deranged moments but I've seen far, far worse on other boards - this board is consistently smart and supportive in comparison to some of the online toxicity out there, and even the people he annoyed the hell out of have been pretty polite in the circs. I don't think he'll be able resist jumping back in - and if I were him I'd do it now.

I presume the 700k you refer to losing is our socialised losses as shareholders not your personal hit - though goodness knows some of us are looking at six-figure paper losses. Your measured post this morning helped steady my hand, ironically enough, so was surprised by your complete about face later on, while i understand and sympathise with your decision.

It could be couldn't it? Potential is 22 wells from one reservoir, x 9 reservoirs =198. If each well is worth $25m that's $5bn in best case potential.
