I missed this, but Auctus in a note on friday mentioned that TotalEnergies has cancelled US offshore wind projects 'in exchange for a $1bn indemnity and commitment to invest in US oil and gas instead'. This was in a piece specifically on Zephyr.

Feeling very bullish about this again, after a slight sulk that we didn't get a firmer steer on paradox timings. Vast resource, strong and growing demand, routes to markets in very good hands, indicative offers on the table for next phase.

Nelson's suggestion that the mystery benefactor might be Enbridge is interesting. Their name has loomed large in recent comms - was it important to be told that the modified pipeline will be owned, operated and maintained by them? The work going on at the moment is hugely significant, as it links Zephyr to a 4,000 mile (Williams-owned) superhighway which in turn also links to their west coast pipeline into Canada. The non-ops is just Red Queen stuff on reflection, keep adding to the portfolio to offset usual declines and keep funds focused on Paradox development.

Sorry i've repeated points better made by others below. Encouraged that we can expect a Paradox update 'in due course' rather than in the 'near term'! But genuinely the big news now seems close.

This was the year end as well as Q4 for non ops, so legit to highlight 55% Q4 uplift vs Q2 - ie before and after the acquisition. It wasn't clear why of the extra 130 boepd from Slawson that was forecast in Q4, only half showed up in the figures v Q3 unless it was simply the sale of the one producing well. The TP note added nothing to the RNS. At least and for the first time we're hearing that there are offers on the table re Paradox, unhelpfully superfluous to caveat them with indicative and non-binding as any such offer would be at thsi stage.

Not writing it off Hydras, but my theory for today's sells is a bit more prosaic - someone has skipped over to catch the rise at ECO, another malcy favourite, while things are quiet here and will be back in Zephyr with their winnings shortly.

I don't know what your prompt was Kid but that reads like AI simply playing back what it's read here. We've had 3 or large sells this morning that have knocked the price, they might have been forced or opportunistic (chasing other rainbows), but it's hard to deduce muchif anything from that. We're just filling the vacuum here, and I'm as guilty as anyone!

I can't see why the share price would move much in anticipation of the latest non-ops news/report - the higher oil price is positive but other oilers have bigger exposure. That may explain the sells this morning, while we wait for Paradox, unless you have a view Hydras? Meanwhile the price is looking very tempting - again!

Agreed. In Q3 they doubled the number of wells in which they have an interest. Q4 results due any day will reflect that. But the post-period commentary and forecast will read even better. Perhaps this morning's seller is chasing a fast buck elsewhere - I hope it pays off, and the profits are reinvested here quickly.

I don't understand your price manipulation theory Hydras - or see any evidence for it. How, especially on such a low volume day, is this being done, by whom and why?

Exactly dayday, Paradox grows in value every day, but now the negotiators have to factor in the repercussions of the Iranian conflict. With energy security front of mind, the Paradox is sitting pretty and why the US government has funded Zephyr's work. None of this is reflected in the share price today. The non-ops alone support the current valuation - and Q4 results on or before the 30th should be encouraging.

True! My point is that if it was a very good time to have western gas assets then, before Iran, it's even better now. And I think this is the bind: Colin is so sure that with LNG export capacity growing and AI data centres supercharging demand, the huge assets he's sitting on will only grow in value, so the price he's demanding now from a farm-in partner he would feel needs to reflect that.

I re-watched the interview we all slated at the time, and it ages well. Pressed on progress with farm-in discussions he smiles 'It's a VERY good time to have Western gas assets' . This is a 'consequential resource for the USA'

Every chance. Q4/FY non-ops have reported mid feb, late feb, and as papaduke pointed out, mar 11 last year. Current trading/forecast will look very good. And hopefully Paradox news too. You can buy £25k's worth now coincidentally at that UT value of 3.74.

Thanks for the transparency Bear, at least we have an explanation for today's sells. Two good alternatives you mention there too - it's all a matter of which pops first. I think and hope zephyr will be first. Huge resource, safe and supportive jurisdiction, high energy prices, ready demand, potential unlocked by govt-funded technology, big discount to NAV - It may simply be that we have stubborn negotiators on both sides of the table at the moment. The deadlock has to break soon.

It's a crumb of comfort that other oilers, at least on my watchlist, are not in fact cashing in - savannah down 5%, JOG down 6%, star and kistos down 4%, aminex down 10%. zephyr holding its own in comparison, last two trades of any size were buys, news creeping closer and meanwhile non-ops coffers are swelling.
