I'm very happy. Mostly bought in the £2s and £3s, now my 2nd largest holding (after Berkshire Hathaway).

Potential eps of £9 or more, divi could easily be 20% or even much more.

I'm expecting this to double (or more) in the next year, possibly less if coal prices remain stratospheric, and if they sort out the Transnet mess.

Losing the finance director (to run a motorway service station ...) is bad, failing to find a chief executive is really bad.

I blame Chris Holmes failing to secure his succession and stupidly thinking he could transition from (moderately effective) CEO to (pretty rubbish) non executive chairman. It's been down hill since then.

So glad I cut my holding by 90% 5 years ago. Thinking about selling the rest.

Every time Opulentia makes a fatuous ramping post the price promptly drops, as today when s/he called it at over £50, and last month when s/he was boasting about hitting the £60s. 20% down this year isn't good, nor is the slashed divi, but for long term holders (I've been in and adding since the mid 80s), short term fluctuations make little effect on massive long term capital and income gains.

I'm a bit depressed by the dividend. Understand it's politics, but they were going to get screamed at for the headline profits, so why not chuck an extra cent or two on the divi every quarter as the volume of noise would be no greater? - and it's still only just over half the pre-covid divi.

Don't really understand why the sp is flying when the divi (including special) has been halved from last year. Not as bad as expected, presumably?

Revenue up (12%) but profit down 10%. Income down 38%.

Seems a bit disappointing to me, and the excessive reliance on Sublocade (nearly 40% of revenue) worrying.

But I'll carry on holding (average price of just over a quid, so still a nice profit).

Pretax profits up 28%, eps up 22%, NAV up 10%, £55m of new rent commitments (up 35%+), divi up 9.5%.

Eps 178, +25%, fcf +8.6%, outlook very positive. Could do with a bump in the divi but otherwise all very rosy.

Underlying sales growth up 8%, turnover up 14%. Another buyback to start soon.

Debt is up, so I question the sense of adding to it with a buyback, and underlying eps up 1% but only because of the £ tanking.

But on the whole it seems to be steady as she goes, which is better than you can expect in these choppy waters.

Goodluc th tha. I'm just sitting on the ones I've got, not planning on adding any more. I don't like the debt level and I don't like the Pfizer overhang. The p/e is not that impressive either. Think the Ulvr offer will be seen as a massive missed opportunity, but, as Ulvr is my 3rd largest holding, probably no bad thing for me. Will be thinking about topping up if it dips towards £2 after the lock in ends.

I hold most of my US stocks in an account with Charles Schwab. They seem very efficient to me - sort out my W8-BEN so I only pay the 15% non resident alien tax, rather than 30%, provide an excellent debit card (perfect exchange rate, no ATM fees etc) and very low dealing costs (under $5 a throw, from memory, and free for Drip transactions). Also clear paperwork for IRS deductions which HMRC has never queried when I do my tax return.

Aluminium production down more than I expected, copper and iron less. Costs up, but still think a $3 divi (and no special) is possible, and would be highly acceptable. If I had any spare cash I'd probably be putting it into Rio (or Anglo, or TGA).

I see Indivior is now in 150th place in the FTSE ranking. Heading for £5 would probably put us into the 100, meaning trackers etc would have to buy. Never seems to ake as much difference as expected, but the added exposure wouldn't do any harm, and would certainly help the Wall Street listing.

Meanwhile the buybacks have taken us to under 700m shares.
