RE: Deman for graphite21 Apr 2023 17:21
Sienna39 Graphite isn’t just used in batteries it’s also Graphite is used in pencils, lubricants, crucibles, foundry facings, polishes, arc lamps, brushes for electric motors, and cores of nuclear reactors. Also Graphite for batteries currently accounts to only 5% of the global demand. Graphite comes in two forms: natural graphite from mines and synthetic graphite from petroleum coke. Both types are used for Li-ion anode material with 55 percent gravitating towards synthetic and the balance to natural graphite.
So I think Bres are in good shape as Natural graphite is in demand as it’s of a better quality and has many uses not just batteries.
