More money is going into the company from the shareholders to beef it up, and you're getting your proportionate share of the beefed up company.

By the way, the interim results on 10 Sep will not be disappointing, surely - otherwise the BOD really will have egg on their face for rejecting 33p.

You're entitled to your opinion, but so are the other PIs, who may well have jumped at 33p.
