Net debt does not include the tax deferral (which is normally just part of trade creditors etc).

However, it looks like the net debt is net of the additional cash which is now in the company's coffers as a result of deferring the payment of the tax.

In my opinion, that cash should not be set off against net debt when comparing the latter with the prior year, because it is earmarked for HMRC, and has only been "created" by the tax deferral.

However, from what they say, the debt appears to be manageable at least.

At the current SP, I'll probably only be taking 25% of my allocation. I fear there'll be efforts behind the scenes by the underwriters to artificially get the SP up to 13p or 14p before the deadline, so as to avoid being lumbered with a huge number of shares. Like lambs to the slaughter, PIs will then be tempted to take the offer, only to see the SP dip below 12p when support is withdrawn after the offer closes.

zccax77 - so the situation re the ship is not entirely clear, but back in May/June we were all expecting cruising to resume round about now. Instead we have this continued intransigence from the government which, along with its de facto masters, the civil servants and quangos, is actually enjoying lording it over us all. Common sense has no place these days....

I believe the delivery of the second ship was delayed (slightly), not accelerated.

And if the green light were suddenly given for cruising, where would that leave the BOD if the ship weren't ready?

We're not out of the woods yet. However, though revenues were 27% down for the first two months of the year, revenues in July and August were each only 7% lower. So things are looking up.
