Too many PIs, like me, have been in this dog since flotation OVER SIX YEARS AGO, so it's not a question of patience.

In a way, we've been TOO PATIENT, and you can't blame us for being upset, to put it mildly, at not being given the chance to take 33p, which now = £4.95.

When we find out what the mysterious "conditions" were which stopped that deal, they'd better be significant.

At the moment, though, there's no real choice for PIs but to continue waiting, and hoping - the capital raise has at least bought time for a miracle to happen!

It's getting ridiculous. I almost topped up yesterday, but glad I waited.

If consolidation was supposed to shore up the SP, one wonders where it would now be without it…However, the BOD clearly believe that Saga is vastly undervalued at the moment - by at least 50%.

Equally clearly, Mr Market remains sceptical, so I think it’s time the BOD came out of its bunker and explained exactly why it believes the company is so undervalued.

We need something concrete, rather than meaningless consultant-speak. For example, they may have reason to be more confident than the market about the restart of cruising, regardless of a vaccine. Who knows?

Did anyone else pick up on the slight change in tone in the “extension of deadline” RNSs?

1/9/20 RNS: “Discussions with each of the Potential Offerors have continued to progress...and their due diligence is on-going”

Then, after 2 PEs dropped out, and we were left with “the Consortium”:

29/9/20 RNS: “Discussions with the Consortium have continued POSITIVELY and due diligence is on-going”

The Consortium has only recently come about, so although the AA is not difficult to value and the equity element is only a very small part of it, they’ll have needed time to “talk amongst themselves” before settling on their opening offer.

In other words, they need to agree amongst themselves before they can seek the agreement of the BOD!

So the current apparent delay, though frustrating, is understandable, I think.

Humongous volume: 51m shares is nearly 9% of the company. I don't know about 20p, I can now see 30p on the horizon...

The RNS is just a routine announcement by the AA of the number of shares in issue (because the figure has changed slightly from the last time it was announced). So this in itself doesn't give any clue at all about when a bid might land.

Barclays are allowing buys but not sells.

If other brokers aren't allowing sells either, today's drop is quite surprising. I might even have a little top-up.

Whatever happens to the AA, SB will continue, I'm sure. However, there's always the danger with new owners that they'll order a review of suppliers. But as long as SB continues to gain traction, Trak should be safe.

With 11 different Phase 3 trials in progress, we could be very close to such an announcement. My money is on end November.

Pokerchips - RT003 on this chat board said at the weekend that roll out was definitely slated for 10 November (however, he still hasn't revealed the source of this information, so who knows?).

Chicken feed in comparison to what they pay themselves!

An SP of £3 is only 20p in old money, so hardly very demanding. It could be achieved TOMORROW if there were definite news of a vaccine roll out, starting next month, say.

Problem is, we don't know why the BOD turned it down. There are those who say it was because they feared for their jobs...

The market has taken no notice whatsoever of recent massive director buying, including £100m-worth by Sir R at double the current SP.

So why should it take any notice of any more director buying now?

No, what the market is crying out for is some really positive REAL news from the company, eg a strategy for stemming the £7m per month cash outflow in its Travel businesses.

According to the Prospectus, "the purpose of the Consolidation is to try to establish a market price for the Company’s shares that is more appropriate than the market price at present."

I don't think our hapless BOD envisaged the share price adjusting to around a half of Sir R's average!

If you think you've been hit hard, spare a thought for Sir R, whose £100m investment is now only worth £50m odd.

We desperately need some news - some GOOD news.

The capital raise was completed on 5 Oct, resulting in an enlarged issued share capital of 2,094m shares.

So LSE are showing the wrong number of issued shares - but are still managing to show the correct market cap! Par for the course with LSE I'm afraid.

"The Week" article still doesn't give a hard date - because the jab hasn't been approved yet. Rather, "officials are HOPING two coronavirus vaccines could prove successful before the end of the year".

Still waiting for RT003 to reveal his source for the "10 November roll out"...

What earlier post? Why not just copy and paste the relevant part?

If you want to be taken seriously, instead of evading the question you need to tell us how YOU can be so sure about the date of the roll out, not just repeat your opinion as to why the rest of us are being kept in the dark.

RT003: "I can assure you second week in November it's [ie AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine] being rolled out."

That's a very bold claim which we'd all love to believe. But how can you be so sure?

And if true, the worst Covid-affected stocks like Saga will "surge" tomorrow, they won't wait till next month!

I'm bracing myself for a lowball offer as low as 35p, say. The BOD would give us the usual crap that "it's in the best interests of all stakeholders" of course.

Best chance of getting back into profit is to average down again at the, currently, bargain basement prices (unless you feel you're already overweight of course).
