BlueLight - nail on head. A couple of blue days after months of red is no reason to get over excited. It’s £2.50 ffs! Could well be flat by close on Friday if it is just traders in cahoots and taking some easy profits.

By ‘covid is over’ I, and probably many others, do not suggest that it is no longer a thing but the mass hysteria about it is over as it no longer poses as much of a threat to the population. And that the government are done with it and so there will be a natural rampdown of everything associated with it, which makes sense. It’s rubbish when folk get ill with it, as with any illness, but it’s simply not the threat it once was (or was perceived to be). We’re over the latest wave and, thankfully, the stats show the vaccines have done their thing. That’s the key; it is still here but far fewer will die from it and get seriously ill, as with flu (not saying it is just flu but using another seasonal virus as an example).
Take it easy and hopefully you pick up soon.

Scrapping free testing seems to go hand in hand with operation rampdown - no tests, no cases = covid over. Imagine they’ll change the definition of a covid death as well to bring down those numbers.

Makes perfect sense. It’ll be 2 years and everyone who needs to (and wants to) will be double, triple, quadruple etc jabbed by then. No need tor the scaremongering “38k cases” a day thing. People will get it, and recover from it, like flu. Some will die, unfortunately, some won’t. Just like other respiratory illnesses. As for ncyt, even more reason to focus on the post covid plan, if there is one.

Wilson and ValJu- the point is I no longer have faith in the long term direction but can see from history how we could quite easily see a false spike which could tempt me out at a 10-20% loss. Yes I can afford to hold and I’m not prepared to take a 55% loss at this stage, especially as I can’t see how it can mathematically go much lower (cue sub £2 next week!)

It isn’t strange at all. I have no faith in the long term direction now (things change) and feel my capital can be better utilised elsewhere so if we do get one of those random 20-30% spikes (we may not now covid is done) I will take the ~20%-30% loss and allocate the capital elsewhere. 55% however, is too much.

I suspect many tories got rich off the innova deal, hence why they happily handed over £2bn. Clearly paying ncyt isn’t going to line their own pockets so they’re not bothering.

I did believe in it, at the time. I don’t know, but just can’t face selling at a 55% loss and am hoping for one of those random weeks like in august where we get a spike of 20-30% and I can assure you I will be out and off this board.

Jrdc - this is the uk gov we are talking about, zero chance of it going in our favour. They’re the most corrupt bunch in my lifetime, horrendous people.

Most likely they know there is f all post covid plan so why sink a load of cash into a covid stock.

Soder - tells a story in itself. No wonder no one else is buying if the well monied BoD don’t even fancy it. Actually makes the fact that the marcap around the time it hit £12 was £800-900m, hilarious. Vaccines and the govt obviously put paid to that silliness, but still miraculous how it was nearly £1bn marcap. Harsh, harsh lessons!

No news is good news. Unless DA has a time machine to go back to April 2020 I very much doubt there’s anything good coming. Got to navigate the PE article first, see how the market decides to hammer us for that.
