They told us how much they expect covid revenue to decrease year on year so what exactly are you expecting? Let’s say demand is as high for 5 years, in that time there’ll be other players in the market. We won last year due to first mover advantage, what have we got now?

I didn’t say the need is going away. I said it’s at its highest and a supposedly decent testing firm is seeing its SP tank every day. It makes no sense.

Let’s assume, completely hypothetically, that covid disappeared from the world tomorrow, everything open as normal, holidays encouraged etc. and then next week and beyond, all travel and airline stocks are 2-5% drops daily (with the occasional bounce) would people not be asking serious questions? Huge demand for your only product yet SP being dismantled. If it was a big FTSE100 company, serious questions would be asked, no? I appreciate it isn’t a FTSE100 but the principle holds.

Or shareholder value, sounds better.

Increasing shareholder value and the marcap of the company surely has to be seen as a positive achievement, so why are they so intent on doing the opposite.

DRB83 is it not one of the BoD’s responsibility to protect and enhance shareholder wealth? Not the only responsibility but surely it is one of them?

For those more experienced in this game, what could be the BoD’s motivation? Surely can’t be to buy in cheap as they’ve had that window in the £2’s (until we’re there again) so could it be to drive down the marcap for a takeover? Presumably they will financially benefit in some way from a takeover otherwise why push for this? One assumes that will line their pockets more than buying shares low and selling on a decent rise.

Valju how do we hold them to account, though? Whilst shareholders own the company, it seems we have no way of actually influencing anything. Not sure what we can do if and when the money runs out and they’ve run the SP into the ground.

If we can’t see a rise (or at least not daily drops) in the midst of this wave (albeit its only a cold but people and companies still want to test) we literally never will.

Sp28 true but we’ve been saying this all year. At some point it can’t just be for that reason. There has to be something else going on. How on earth can we find out what the BoD are up to before it’s too late? We can’t, can we?

Troublesome- ignoring the PL, most of them have to live within their means. League 1/2 and below absolutely rely on games being on, fans being in the stadium etc. As always, anything like this negatively impacts the poor folk, much like society in general.

Festive schedule is absolutely fantastic but I’m inclined to agree with you, it’ll be curtailed before long. PL will drag it out as much as possible due to the money. To be fair, the lower leagues may as well as it’ll be financially ruinous for them.

We know how the game works - a decent RNS will result in good gains but other than that it’s just whichever stock is the pump and dump target of the day that gets the gains (which are then eroded in the days and weeks following). False hope is a killer.

PI100 declares that the R rate “could be as high as 15”, based on a guess. Would be fantastic to have some real world data on this omicron as opposed to “oh look isn’t it terrible”.

Looks like all covid stocks are taking a hiding today. Traders obviously met this morning and said “let’s tank covid stocks today”. Fingers crossed they decide to pump it tomorrow, who the hell knows?
