Amers, not fair but that’s the tories for you. They are utter scum who hate working people, the nhs, public services etc. How we are in 2024 in a supposedly developed country and we still have to put up with these criminals is beyond me.
Ditto, I stand to benefit 1K+ from the nic drop but would happily swap that to see it go to proper frontline services. They’ve totalled destroyed the uk.
Agree with CS on election date, they’re in the final throes now so Jan 2025 is most likely as it gives them another autumn statement to bribe us and stitch up labour, further destroy services and steal more money for themselves. How did we get into such a mess with such a corrupt government? If the tories win another term I’ll be looking to exit the uk asap, my young children will have zero future.
Re £3, why is this even being talked about? Even if we won outright and ended up with c.£120 cash (obviously most of that would probably take years to get off the government but still due to us) that’d make the SP £1.71 to match the cash, so where would the other 1.30 come from? It’s a failing business burning millions in losses. Just having cash doesn’t mean the business is successful, especially with the incumbent BoD
HC - you really think it would take us to over £70m marcap? £44m in the bank at year end, less say £5m cash burn by June add £8m VAT rebate and we're up to £47m with a massively loss making business. £1 is pie in the sky.
Gladiator - this is a huge case compared to others. Do you think the government want this hassle 3-4 months before the election?
agree cs, scenario 3 is nailed on for me. this is a tiny, weak company who do not want to be fighting the behemoth that is the corrupt uk government. any hint of a nil liability settlement will be snapped up because they can’t be ****d, like they can’t be ****d with the actual business. it’d be a massive massive disappointment but that would sum up this investment for most. it’s a tiny tiny company wanting to stay that way, talk of mid cap was just bluster to shut up shareholders in times when it looked like they should be doing more.
the government wouldn’t go to court if they didn’t have a watertight case so if it goes to trial i think we lose, but likely that’ll we’ll just settle at nil to get the monkey off our back. if so, may get a 10p uplift but nothjgn more as hardly any cash coming in and that £8m wouldn’t even cover a years loss.
still convinced the government won’t want to do the case prior to the autumn election so that’s 2024 out and a new date will be for the next government to deal with.
No end in sight to the drop here. Anyone see what happened to AVCT? Yet another covid company seemingly over promoted and requiring a cheap placing to continue, we all know what happened to ODX. It may be only the cash in the bank preventing similar happening here, and how long do we have that luxury?
Still just the spread, HC?

So after 2 complete write off years, is this going to be another? Dispute aside, have the board told shareholders anything? 2 months in and we have zero idea what the plans and financial projections are. I imagine they’ll hide behind the YG integration and not give us anything.
Market makers diving down the price so they can get back in and do the usual crash the price, buy, watch it rise and sell before crashing it again. The stock market must be one of the most corrupt places on the planet, all set up for the 1% like everything else.
"Why would they want to delay when they are the claimant? If their case is watertight there is no reason to delay.
The defendant has a right to clear their name in a timely manner. The time in court is just the culmination of the case. Judgement day is coming."
They don't ultimately care but I suspect they won't want anything getting in the way of their election rigging (I mean planning) and this could be a distraction. It's small beer in relation to how much they've actually stolen.
"What right does the department have to just delay a high court hearing? None."
What right does the government have to steal 10s of billions from the public purse? None, but they still do it. If the Tories want to delay the court case, the Tories will delay the court case. They'll have the finest lawyers our money can buy who will without a doubt find a reason to get it delayed.
I may as well just put it on red or black now and be done with it. We obviously don’t know that it’s 50/50 but they’ve sure us and we’ve counterclaimed so that’s all we have to go on.
Given all the Covid payments scandals the government are embroiled in I am very sure they won’t want to settle early with an election looming and risk looking at all guilty. My guess is they delay it until after the election when if they win they won’t care two hoots what happens as they’ll be in power for another 5 years and if they lose it’s just a good stick to hit labour with if they don’t settle in their own favour. Be amazed if the case goes ahead before an election.
