6.4b additional shares have effectively been on the market for quite a while giving full RR. shares the time to adjust £value.
So, no big change tomorrow, it has already happened.

Have you been through this RI process from becoming registered holder on 23rd October to.....new RI owner on 12th November?
The 'original' shares dropped from over £2 down to approx 70p following registration. So, the SP drop has already happened as the 6.9b new shares hit the market.
The 50% or so increase is real and will be effective as the 6.4b new issue shares become available. Registered owners have been owning RRN shares as value place holders at SP-32p value.
Now our cash has been taken and the place holder shares are being replaced with full value RR. shares.
No one knows the opening SP tomorrow. But apparently the RI process has been fully subscribed. Latent demand will force a rise IMHO followed by fund managers looking for serious long term investments.
Supporting RR is the amazing lucky timing of coronavirus vaccine progress and publicity on terrific non-aero and green projects into 20+ years of product growth.
Plus likelihood of the historic aero business re-establishing itself as new aerotravel developments emerge.
What more could you wish for?

Samb, I am not talking about our small change at the high street Banks.
I am talking about companies that amass large sums specifically to abuse one section of the population with the sole aim of making another much smaller number of people a little richer.
A few people here have already referred to Goldman Sachs in a way that suggests they may cause havoc with the RR share price solely for their own gain.
Simply put, they could be acting as a predator to 'steal' the £2b put into RR by a multitude of small and genuine investors.
Karl Marx once said, capitalism could work quite well except for a few clever people setting out to take advantage of the system. (Not exact wording).

Name a UK company that is positioned better to drive UK manufacturing forward.

RR are creating substantial new energy conversion projects. Timing and method of this Rights Issue is spot on.
They are one of the key UK manufacturers leading the way to revival of Midlands manufacturing.
An MC of £20b is quite reasonable during 2020.
If RR was on NASDAQ the MC would be double or treble this figure. USA investors look for new technology innovation that drives growth, and here we have it with RR.

Watch the US dollars, Chinese Renminbi, German DM, Russian rouble - they all want RR shares.

An £8.3billion MC is LOW for this business. (£1/share).

Regarding the factory manufactured small modular nuclear reactor power generators, there are many government 'interventions' that can benefit this project, not just donating cash.
Examples such as tax exemptions over a long term (film industry?), low cost land acquisition / compulsory purchase, expressed planning permissions, supported training programs, financial assistance for staff movement, etc.
Boris is adamant with the EU that UK is not signing an agreement relating 'control of government support for industry'. The so-called 'level playing field'. It seems it is OK for the French to do this (Airbus), but not the UK.
The SMNR project is likely to gain considerable support which will help with such an intensive and medium to long term project.

There will be much competition after the 12th, for these shares.
Close of business today could see 75p or more.
All these Shorters want to make out RR is some kind of invalid company.
The aero industry has been through its worst business period since WW2.
I think RR will reorganise, streamline, improve focus on new strategies, etc.
Take this opportunity to handle change.

A company does not have to issue RNS's every week to prove progress is being made.
Larger companies tend to use RNS for Financial, Organisational and Shareholder activities.
The RR web site is stuffed full of other information about products and customers.

This is a truly amazing company company with many diverse product strategies.
Plus, I am sure much secret work does not reach the public eye until after completion, or later.
Of course, we all know about 'defence and commercial aero engines', this is what Rolls Royce are famous for since 1915.
Today this is only part of the business. Does "R2 Data labs" seem part of RR?

But it was Private for some years, bought out by a Swiss operation.
Then sold to a German operation....
Then merged with Walgreens in USA as you mention.....
A company does not have to be Private for ever, or Public for ever.

Ratty, the human race is not about to stop living.
All countries suffer this epidemic. The consequences may vary from country to country, but we all suffer.
In parallel with the Green Movement, these are opportunities.
Change is often the force for new creativity, re-invigoration, dropping some of the old, doubling efforts on the new, etc etc.
I am sure RR will come out of this a much stronger company.
The world needs these engineering developments and products.
RR are well placed to get their share.

Ratty, I've supported Chelsea FC for 70 years.
I remember when the grounds were rubbish, the team always struggling.
Yet today, the Team is still amongst the top half of our top division, still wins 'trophies', still entertains, etc.
(And happens to be privately owned).
'Winning' is part of life. RR regularly 'wins' big Sales Contracts.
You seem to take 'business' for granted. Study RR a little. It is a highly professional company. In the Top League of its type.

Number of shares in issue after 12 Nov 2020 is approx 8.3 billion.
£1 /share gives an MC of £8.3 billion.
They will have £2b in cash from shareholders.
They will have £3b in low cost finance from Gov and other arrangements.
Plus, they have the RR Company ....
I think £8.3b MC is quite reasonable.

99% of shareholders in RR believe in the future, in part based on an OUTSTANDING engineering history for last 100 years. But also based on a changing and developing world of technology that understands the concept of ENERGY CONVERSION.
Just one exciting RR product amongst many is the small nuclear powered engines. This is not pie-in-the-sky, installed the first for use in military submarines in 1966. This 'clean' technology has a multitude of applications as fossil fuel engines need replacing in air (flight), sea (shipping), submarine, ground (electricity power stations).
This Messaging Site is dominated by Shorters and Derampers who are GAMBLERS not RR supporters.
