My experience suggests this kind of RNS is issued when MMs are getting too hot under the collar because they can't satisfy demand. We know this SP of MKA and RBW are up due to RRE price increases due to China-US trade war and Trump has just threatened another $300B of trade with tariffs. Wish LSE SP would set sail. TSX now almost 20% above LSE price and still some sell. With such major catalysts on the horizon it's laughable. Another round of bore LSE investors out of their shares and then close the door with a sudden surge. It's take 5 I think. Getting old now.

It can be easy for our feelings to cloud our judgement and make us see everything in the negative especially if we've been waiting as long as yourself. However, the stock market has an uncanny habit of providing fantastic entry points just before everything comes good. The pendulum swings one way and then the other. It's often darkest before dawn. The drilling ban has been squashed, Iolar drill given the green light and is underway and now it's our turn. The momentum is clearly on our side. Given the fundamentals of the project, I fully expect you to get most if not all your money back by the end of 2019 should we get the green light. All the best and stay strong. Phoebus.

Not so fast. If the site survey is a go then I'm sure everthing will be fine. The authorities already granted it once and this time they have engaged third-party environmental consultants which should help them get it over the line. No doubt they are drawing on experience of satisfying the same EU regulations in the UK North Sea as I suggested they should.

Note also that the $9M not yet received is a loan for 'front-end well-site survey operations and pre-drill well consenting'. This work is still pending and clearly there is no point making the loan to fund something that has not yet been given the go ahead. The original schedule was for Q4 because those operations were supposed to happen in Q4. The extension of the timeline makes complete sense to me. When the operations get the green light then it makes sense to make the loan. I reckon Exola has already been made aware that if there are no further submissions by next Friday that the survey will get the go ahead and the funding will proceeed. I'm sure all parties are itching to get on with it and the tight window between the end of submisions and loan deadline would fit this thesis. All our large sharholders appear to still be in place as do Pageant and Goldman Sachs over at PVR. If they were concerned they would already be long gone.

It's a while since I looked at APEC, but it gave me the impression of being a consortium of Chinese government related interests, which would explain some of the opaqueness. China seems to have many entities like this investing in resources projects all over the globe.

With the payment deadline only one day after the site submissions deadline it looks like APEC are just waiting for the nod from the judge and then we're away.

I reckon you are stirring as usual. If you've done any serious digging on APEC you must have found a load of Chinese language sources too. If you post the links I'll have a read as I'm quite fluent in reading Mandarin. Cheers.

As you say Highlander the delay is very old news. What is actually good to hear is that drilling sounds like it is still on and has only slipped slightly to Q4. APEC are committing more funds and they should be received within the next 9 days, the day after the end of the submissions period. I have the distinct feeling everthing is about to turn for the good. Time to buy if you can get any shares. I can't get a quote to buy any. This is like dry tinder. If we get the site survey go ahead this will absolutely rocket. Not long to wait now. GLALTH

I agree with some of your comments Shpunken. I also think MATD's rise helps with a placing for 2020 drilling.

If TSX fell by 5% it would still be 9% above the LSE price. Current TSX-LSE imbalance is artificial and ECO specific.

Also MATD's SP rose 70% as the oil price collapsed last week. UJO hasn't a had a problem rallying in this environment and I3E is doing well now its JDF agreement is in place. All three are drilling this month or next and all are doing well despite the oil price.

Trump is just pushing everyone's buttons to create negotiating capital. He'll walk it back at the right time to get a deal. A Fed rate cut is also looking very likely, probably 50 or even 75 BPS which will give the market a sharp kick.

Oil price drop occured almost completely on Friday and besides the TSX SP has remained impervious at 90p.

Hammerhead 2 and 3 results due, Orinduik campaign about to start, SP over 90p in Canada, yet we're languishing under the recent placement price. Yeah right.

Nige, do you live in Thailand? Wondered about locating there myself, but not sure about tax implications etc. on dealing on LSE equity market if I was resident.
