If the BOD were not allowed to buy when SP was much lower due to being in a close period then I think it's only fair they get options at 19.25p. The higher they move the SP the bigger the pay off so their interests are quite clearly linked to ours.

Was that a serious question? You realize I'm not on about Brent Shannon from Aussie gold hunters. RBD is an oil and gas exploration company. As oil price increase, in addition the SP of producers increasing due to higher earnings, investor sentiment across the entire sector improves significantly leading to much greater willingness to speculate in small cap exploration companies improving liquidity and driving SPs higher.

Take confidence in the fact that two of the world's top ten gold mining stocks have farmed in with one of them holding a near 20% stake in OMI itself. What other AIM exploration company can boast that? It speaks volumes and I'm more than happy to follow their lead and align myself with their world class geological instincts.

Just grinding out the wimps ahead of a huge move higher. Same as always. Suck it up, top up and buckle up.

SP still at same level as before well result where it was already at a near 70% discount to UJO on a relative basis. Now we know Kirkham is beyond expectation and looks odds on to be the biggest onshore UK discovery since '73. SP should be orders of magnitude higher already. Astonishing bargain.

I think this will blow 20p out the water as Red Setter drilling approaches. So much pedigree in this area that investors won't be able to resist piling in big style. Relative illiquidity will just add to the surge. Then there's White Mountain and Wishbone updates to add some extra spice.

Anyone else use Investegate for RNS statements? This morning a whole swathe of today's pre market open RNS statements were missing from their website including GGP's? Seems to be fixed now with RNSs added retrospectively. Anyone know if this site had a similar problem? Cheers.

over at Share Pr_phets today. Peter's oil articles always strike me as sensible and well researched. He seems to like West Newton and if he sees the potential for material upside for UJO then what does that say for RBD which is only a third of the price for the same exposure. Rock on Tommy.

Checking my previous notes I see the Kirkham was down as 146.4 MMB OIIP and 211.50 BCF GIIP. Using recovery factors of 30% for oil and 80% for gas gives a total of 72.12 MMBOE P50 gross or 40.4 MMBOE net to RBD. This of course is before any upgrades from what looks like better than expected results over a very large interval. The CPR is going to be a real eyeopener. Even at 40.4 MMBOE the current market cap is a joke and this is all onshore UK with infrastructure very close by.

Should help no end with sentiment across the sector. GLA
