But the box was already painted black. What Gardin really meant was we had to hide the only discernable feature in the image - the TEXT !

UserSteve: wow well spotted, saved me a lot of grief because I don't have access to my downloads where I am at the moment.

But his statement indicates a couple of things, I think.

1. He monitors this board, the image was edited very quickly after I made my first post.

2. The text was not visible in the original image, only after I increased the brightness level did I spot something present.

3. The text is not related to any of the any top or mid range North American miners, so a mining rig it is not and that's why Gardin has hidden it.

4. Careful inspection of the original image appears to show the 'USB' leads are supported underneath, as if simply pressed against the box rather than inserted into a connector. The positioning of the text and leads is quite bizarre.

5. It looks like a cheap attempt to keep the story moving to me.

I do not have the X App and therefore I have not used it. I used the link that was posted here to access the tweet originally and thereafter just did a quick Google search of "QBT Milan Miner photo" to find the photo again.

Without doubt the current photo has been retouched to erase the text and has produced a more uniform surface appearance to the box. A mining rig it is not!

Could well be Ethernet connectors but:

1. They normal come with LED indicators

2. The two cables disappear off to the RHS and then appear to mate up with the two matching cables on the right.

3. Those 4 ends all have matching ID labels

The cables and ends are not the subject, the text is !

When the photo of the Milan NDA miner was posted I thought the placing of the USB sockets looked odd, too near the bottom edge to be sensible. The entire look of the miner, supposedly from a big North Americal player looked very none miner like. Playing with the photo's parameters I was able to see text just above the connectors. After posting my initial message here, Gardin quickly redacted the image removing the text.

I admit to making a mistake with my initial observation and reported it as AVAX but after further insight as can be seen from the images, you can see it was not so.

In my initial post I had hoped others would view the photo and come to the same conclusion and therefore I could not be accused of falsifying or doctoring the image. That didn't happen apparently, I think Gardin was alerted quite quickly, probably by someone working the board. No doubt I'll now be accused of doctoring the image. Here they are, one thing I'm certain of is that box looks nothing like a modern miner. If I had doctored the image I certainly would not have placed the USB connectors where they are shown, most bizarre.

No, the examiner has not granted the patent but QBT can appeal against the decision. There is no further examination of the patent unless QBT can provide persuasive evidence to overturn the decision.

There is nothing left for the examiner to examine.

No the color of the box is irrelevant apart from as to why it was spray painted in the first place.

If you can give a reason why a AVAX computer has morphed into a bit coin miner in the Milan lab, then go ahead and buy more. No just go ahead and buy more and ignore the evidence in front of you face.

Of course I may have, just may have sneaked into the Milan lab and glued the AVAX text to the box. How's that for a conspiracy theory ?

That's laughable to confuse that box with a Proto mining rig, Google the presentation Proto gave for the launch.

The Proto can produce nearly 12 kW where do suppose that heat goes ?
