Wasn't aware till this morning Activ-2 was already actively recruiting for a new treatment, assumed this would happen at some point in Jan/Feb... this is great news. Maybe that's why we're 7% up this morning... cat's out of the bag????

BTW, IF (ONCE) this Activ-2 inclusion is announced - watch US investors pile in... because they know US government money is sitting and waiting for the results to come in and for the contracts to get signed.

Very possible we could even see some pre-orders come our way, has happened with some of the other companies.

Where does that put our SP? With pre-orders 3-4gbp?

Still want to hope something will happen and that SNG001 will find its way into our hospitals.

To kick-off 2021 here is a monthly reminder of SNG's recent progress/development milestones - in addition to the last month's overview shared on 1st December, as per below...

*** SNG has been granted a fast-track status for the Phase 3 by the US FDA - a major milestone allowing fast approval (subject to a positive result). My understanding is that this will allow the FDA to have an early analysis of the results and make a judgment call whether SNG001 needs to go immediately to hospitals and save lives - our route to EUA.
*** Vaccine news, in my opinion, no longer have a significant impact on the SNg share price. The worst shocks to our SP are, I believe, behind us.
*** Due to a very bad crisis healthcare systems are in - EVERYONE now understand we need both vaccines and treatments nd vaccines will not be a 'silver bullet solution. This is accentuated by recent discoveries if the UK and South African strains of C-19.
*** competitive landscape is growing precisely because of that huge need - big pharma developing and acquiring companies producing broad anti-virals... there is an understanding that clinicians will need a range of treatments to combat C-19 and upcoming epidemics/pandemics.

For those just joining this board these are the December key points- mostly still very relevant:
1. Phase III start is imminent - in 26 countries - led by Parexel (world-class global CRO)
2. FDA is providing guidance/advice on the P3 design at the moment
3. Hospitals are full of Covid patients (especially in the US) and there is a huge need as it will take months for the mass roll-out of vaccines (with many concerns surrounding adoption /uptake)
4. Home trial in progress, reported to be expanding to the US - huge need for home use /early-stage Covid treatment
5. Company fully funded following the placement, no pressure to sell IP to big pharma for peanuts
6. SNG001 is developed as a broad spectrum antiviral and NOT a pure Covid-play (as per COPD trials and many years of research across indications..i.e. Asthma)
7. 100,000 doses target for January - aim also to offer to governments (pending succesful interim P3 data) as a stockpiled drug to prevent further epidemics/pandemics
8. Phase II peer-reviewed in The Lancet
9. The scientific team behind SNG001 led by the recently knighted Prof. Holgate considered some od the finest respiratory care experts in the country
10. COPD - related use of SNG001 itself is worth in billions of revenue for any potential partners - COPD/flu complications second biggest reason for hospitalisation every winter in the UK
11. SNG recently included by the US Senate in the context of Activ-2
12. Managed Acces Program (MAP) signed with Clinigen to facilitate distribution
13. Possible treatment for long covid. The science works theoretically and will be tested on p3 trial at 60 and 90 days. Potential market of 10% of all covid sufferers.
14. Despite vaccine roll-out and the SNG SP dropping Numis have maintained their ta

I have been convinced for a while now that US will welcome SNG001 with open arms (especially under Biden).

All the breadcrumbs are leading us to Activ-2. In my opinion it's obvious. Partnership with Catalent shows SNG are thinking ahead and playing smart, having contingency plans for global competitive landscape (even on the supply chain management/contract manufacturing front).

We could very well get an RNS over the next couple of weeks about SNG001 now officially being part of the Activ-2 study.

Oxford12... if/when SNG is officially announced on Activ-2 ... I think we might immediately jump to £3.

This is not just some ridiculous optimism: it means that SNG001 will be regularly reviewed for efficacy and if results are deemed positive will get authorisation. That's how I understand it.

And if results are anywhere near P2 efficacy levels... this will get approved. And that imho means WAY more than 3gbp/share. So people will want to get in on the action.

Not getting my shares though :)

Ghia /ChrisToffer ... what people don't understand is that potential Activ-2 and succesful P3 could multiply the value of this business overnight - many times over.

Pharma don't have a problem spending 10 billion USD if they feel they are getting a treatment they could commercialise alongside their existing portfolio.

Bline59... we probably won't.

But because once a big RNS kicks in... we will probably open on £3.00 and similar things will happen as per Manic Monday in July. That's what I think.

Well, I am expecting (hoping for) something similar with Blautix.

That's the IBS treatment with clear advantages over current treatments imho (no side-effects and broad-specrrum IBS efficacy) hat made our SP tumble because market misunderstood the RNS.

Hope Duncan surprises us again with a commercial agreement with a big pharma.

Well, in all seriousness, only those waking from a year-long coma hadn't been expecting AZ vaccine to get approved.

Also, it is approved only in the UK (World champions in fast vaccine approval..) as EU says there are delays.

Personally I believe in vaccines and hope this one will be a game-changer on the vaccine front.

Yes, there may be a few nervous PIs today selling but yes, this news should be priced in.

Let me repeat again for those struggling to understand:
Vaccines are NOT treatments.

We need both. And I want both to work as I want this Covid madness to finish. But whoever claims how, because of these vaccines, SNG's market share is smaller must have believed that SNG001 would be the first and only drug for Covid in the world. That no other pharma would produce a vaccine or a treatment. That's just naive.

Prepare for a wobble and a swift return to usual business.

We have P3 kick-off and potentially, in my opinion, Activ-2 inclusion to look forward to.

Pmjh/Oakleaf... this has become a US-centric process quite some time ago I think. FDA fast-track designation and Dr. Jha's Senate testimony re SNG's potential inclusion on Activ-2 should be enough for even the most skeptical among us to realise that , imho.

With global approval of AZ vaccine being somewhat delayed (check out Reuters news link below) SNG should seize the moment with some positive news... P3 start and potentially aActiv-2 inclusion should do a lot of good for the SP sentiment.

alinz... I am not having a go at traders for mitigating their losses, fair play to them for know when to exit and enter again. I invest on the back of the fundamentals and on mid-long term basis and this has never been my strength, hope to get better at it frankly.
But fact is that a number of people have decided that vaccines were the silver bullet - and they bailed when the news kick in. A lot of people invested here didn't know the difference between vaccines and treatments. Panic kicked in, herd mentality prevailed and that brought us (along with MMs efforts, for sure) to a point where i can buy for 82p (and later again at 94p). As much as hated that SP meltdown while it was happening, I believe it will help me in the long run.

The point of my post really was : well done to those who kept their cool and continued believing in their research. It's time now to reap rewards of that patience I believe.

Without you, my average would have been 30% higher and I never would have been able to buy at 82p and 94p.
