First bought Feb 2016 at 5.25p. Added in March and April at 8.40 and 15.25. At that point I had 11123 and an average 8.34p. It went south from there!

Totally agree Janiax. I had that "keep the mortgage, it's cheap" mindset a few years ago, and could have cashed in shares that would have cleared my mortgage twice over on more than one occasion. Why pay off the mortgage when the shares can earn so much more than the piddling interest on it?

Then shares crashed. My portfolio dwindled. I got cancer. Mortgage repayment was looming. Do I wish I'd been more prudent? You betcha I do.

None of us have a crystal ball. Sometimes a bird in the hand really is the only one you need.

Here years also, +414%. Sure wish I still held more of the 111,000 shares I had at the peak.

It's a war, and we have a long history of young people volunteering for service in times of need. Part of the fabric of British society that makes it great.

I'd be happy to see the value of my holding double in 12 months as a starter. That would make EMH my first 10-bagger; it's been a long road, and uncomfortable at times, but starting to smell roses. I'm not sure I'd be about by 2018 so if those bigger numbers could just get a wiggle on I'd be ever so happy!

sb - I think your metaphor is a little off. They are setting the ticket price, not clipping them. We all know where the bus is going, they are just deciding minute by minute how much it's going to cost to but a ticket get there. The brokers free is your ticket being clipped.
