In my experience of borders rns over the years this company are always very careful not just in what they say but how they say it. Two things I noted last week, firstly over eight months on from appointing the advisers they still have "new companies to see" that has to be good, also the word optimistic, used in the previous couple of updates has now become confident, a stronger word in my opinion. Reading between the lines I get the impression they may be closer to something than we imagine, further updates will be provided when appropriate, another phrase not seen before. Yes I am trying to look at this in an optimistic light, this is still a very risky play. Please DYOR.

when you read the update and remind yourself of the size of the discovery and potential additions it makes you realise how nuts the current sp is.

The last line of the second paragraph of the CEO's statement gives me cause for optimism, its a phrase not used before, "further updates will be provided when appropriate" it may not be exactly verbatim but that is the sentiment. It leads me to believe we can expect a further rns before the next scheduled update. I hope I'm not reading too much into it but seems relatively positive.

By my reckoning half year results will be next week, we should find out if there has been any progress at all on a farm in, would be nice to finally get some positive news.

If we can stay afloat cash wise at worst I could see a take out by RKH, but not until after sealion has started production.

Due Thursday, positive news about sealion would lift this.

Merlin, I'm sure your suggestion is well intended but frankly I don't see what the board could do or say to reassure investors at this point if they can't get a farm in.

I think we are finally reaching that stage with BOR, most uk speculative stocks are bombed out at present, be it because of global economics or brexit. No one could have predicted the impact of US shale on oil markets in the last 5 years, that said many articles I read are predicting shale may already be peaking, that is the key to oil prices and why I still have confidence there is a future for projects like ours in the medium term. Sealion is the key to getting the FI oiles back in play though, that needs to happen, But I am beginning to wonder if PMO are dragging it out to run RKH out of money and pick them up on the cheap. I keep believing the next 6 months will be key, then the can keeps on getting kicked further down the road, hopefully it will stop one day.

Flockton, there are times over the last few years when I would have liked them to buy , but I would see it as a bad sign if they did so now because they are supposed to be in the middle of farm in discussions. My understanding is insider trading would preclude them from buying if discussions are ongoing and they are therefore in possession of information not in the public domain. If they buy before any announcement to me that is an admission that there are no ongoing discussions. I may be wrong and am happy to be corrected, but I dont think I am.

Since 2011, if memory serves, first bought when it was in th 80p range, but fortunate enough to sell out before the big drop down to sub 20p when I started to buy back in, my average now about 5p

Hi Intodeep, I am not expecting any full blown announcement of a farm in or even specifics of any ongoing negotiations , but if the final throw of the dice with Strand Hanson has come to nothing on the farm in front they will have to declare it, that is why I feel it is an important update.

Poor day for most oilies, and worse in prospect tomorrow after Trump opens his stupid gob....again!

I think the September update is one of if not the most critical update we have had, if there are no prospects of a farm in the board have to detail an alternative plan.
