Iam sure they were buys. You can buy at a touch over the bid price , (well below the mid price), and they all show up as a SELL.
I am sure that one of the big holders is dumping... as there seems to be an infinite supply of stock and mm are trying to get rid of them at just above the bid price. I do not know why a big player is dumping , .... may be end of tax year balancing: They may want to crystalise the loss and use it to offset their gains elsewhere and move on?
Anyway I am a believer in this technology and think the real issue was that their technology is ahead of the demand curve. No point a mobile phone company paying more than required for a precision antenna and reduce their profit margin when they could get away with using a cheaper alternative.
Demand by users and need for location based services will eventually mean that to compete the phones will need to use a more accurate antenna. ...that day is fast approaching. Until then, the military and security services who are willing to pay the premium to get that level of accuracy are the main customers now. Sarantel seems to be doing a good job of displacing established suppliers to these customer group as the preffered technology solution. The traction being gained in this space will soon start to show up on the bottom line, as each development ramps up to full production.
[ On 23/3 Online limits were BUY up to 2.5Mill shares SELL max 50k, last Friday BUY up to 1.5Mill SELL : 25k max online >>> Clearly mm was trying to get rid of the line of stock that they had and were not willing to take more on. Hence I tend to think that most trades 200K or over must be a BUY].
I am fairly confident that within a 2 year time frame this company will not be recognisable when compared to today. Once location based services catches on ... there is really no other serious competitor to SARANTEL.
No doubt about the quality of their technology, ... the question is when will need meet a technology that seems to have been developed ahead of need. >>When will the demand for services that require pinpoint accuracy mean that manufacturers are forced to move to the only atenna that can deliver, irrespective of the cost differential. Without this driver, manufacturers will not willing use a more expensive component and reduce their profit margin,(turkeys don't vote for Christmas).
Investment here is thus, either buy now and sit tight or hope that you could time the inflection point and then jump in. Inflexion point is however a lagging indicator and you will only know when it has passed. By then the share price would have been at least 5 x today's value.
Anyway that is the end of my rambling.
WARNING:
I HAVE A HOLDING IN SARANTEL AND HAVE ADDED MORE LAST WEEK. >>>TREAT THESE VIEWS AS BIASED.
NO INVESTMENT ADVICE INTENDED. >> THESE ARE JUST MY PERSONAL OPINIONS. ...DYOR etc.
