When are you conspiracy theorists going to learn that MMs have no part in the auctions. Anyone who knows how the market works ignores auction trades unless they are of substantial size.
Also an isolated or IT low trade will not trigger stop losses
You have to realise that the advertised bid/ask price is not the same for all MMs it is the best value on each side for the punter. Imagine the MMs as a row of second hand car dealers competing for the same business. They don't really care about the price so long as they buy for less than they can sell. Their goal is to trade as many shares/ cars as they can. If a MM is low stock of AGL he up his bid price to steal the trades from the other MMs. The MMs are not as sinister as many make out and like car dealers they don't want a forecourt full of stock they can't sell. They can't predict the outcome of FDA and would be in trouble if it goes against a holder.
My guess is that these large double trades are MMs(banks) transfering stock to a sister bank in the EU, maybe there has been increased interest there.
Usually when the spread is wide it stifles trading. Who wants to buy a share and see an immediate 4% loss.
I think SINT is a new classification, there always used to be a SW(swap) classification which is an equity transfer and can be identified by the trades showing as identical sized pair. I'm guessing the new SI is a result of Brexit when the transfer is to Europe. Just guessing. It is probably stock for EU broker/MM
Bojo when the spread is tight the buy/sell status is pretty close to useless. If all the sells shown over the last few days were accurate the MMs would need to encourage some buying, they are not investors they are traders they make their money by flipping shares
What a coincidence 2 doubters appear together.

AndrewUK. Probably best if you go to AGL website and get at least the basics of what Parsortix is, then you won't appear so dumb
SB companies avoid shorting on stocks that can potentially spike massively. They fear not being able to close the position quick enough before the account goes negative, and with retail accounts they can't legally collect a deficit outside equity in the account. If you have a professional status account you may be able to short.
These motors are nothing new and have been cast aside as being inferior. If this company has got around the disadvantages they seem reluctant to explain how. As for the copper aspect, any motor can be wound with aluminium, just it will be less efficient and larger. As an example a lot of cheap building site 110V transformers are wound with aluminium, but they are not as efficient as copper wound types. But it's not a big concern as their use is occasional
