Happyholderm thanks for another of your pithy, if rather unenterprising, postings..
I’ve invested in LOADS of pharma over the years, as I have oil, banks, all sorts..
It’s not that it’s particularly risky - they all are - but I’ve made a decision based on what’s going on here regarding times, personnel, appointments and other aspects.
I want to make a profit - that’s the idea of shares, and if it hits 4p, then I’ll get most out and leave some for the possibilities.
You have your views (although you rarely do anything but snipe at people with opposing ideas) and I have mine.
and I don’t believe this will ever truly take off .
There’s loads of hurdles next year, and I’m going to be mainly out before then but with a few in, in case things really happen. I’ve been in shares too long to be sucked in completely by message board stuff, either way, but Rampy post-type boards area rarely good news for the pocket.
Glad that Indie, Jiving, etc are around to temper the wild and Patentely inaccurate hype of the few on here ...especially the company man
I think, like some other poster (maybe Indie, Jiving ?) stated, punters always see their share as precious through the tainted eyes of confirmation.
What they always fail to see are there potential pitfalls, % chance of failure, and other products being developed my a multitude of companies....in competition - and price/time sensitive
Scary - you can take some of my shares off me at 4p - I’ll always leave in 20% for the “just in case” scenario..
But seen too many small pharma in perpetual inertia - and the common thread of every message board , forum , or otherwise, is that punters ALWAYS see their investment as being good, no matter what.
I’ll be surprised if this ever hits over a £50 - £80Million market Cap.
Just my opinion.
IMO .seen this with similar Biotechs like Lipoxen etc of yesteryear..Proteome Sciences, had loads late 90s early noughties
They can 5 to 10-bag, quickly but they need a blockbuster product with a sexy slant to it (maybe also like N4P with viagra)
Whatever you may think with insular thoughts, we are NOT sexy as a company or product...
If anything has been learned from NF001 is that things are SLOW - and not very consumer marketing friendly .
NF002 is going to take forever (at least a year , start 2019..probs much longer_ (within which time frame anything can happen - and probably will)
Unless they announce some sort of blockbuster new product, this ain't going anywhere fast, and I'm waiting for circa 4p to get the hell out of here with most of my shares, leaving a few in.
That's a great post Inner-Harmony..one of your best..
the pitfalls of insular thinking and confirmation bias;happens on a daily basis on these boards.
oh and Happy Holder - if you believe tat a post can and should be removed because it states an opposing view, then that's tantamount to an autocracy or dictatorship , and worse - and mainly worse for your own investing..
..because , as stated by IH in that last post, it's so very easy to believe we're important - like man looking at stars hundreds of years ago believing we're the centre of the Universe.
(
Oh, and my posts were actually removed because I was slagging off AberdeenAim4 - but he feels he can't fight back with words , so needs a moderator to do his work.
Maybe pretty good...depends on Dan getting his game together...
Company Guru was brought in earlier this year as ship was going off route, and needed guidance.
Proof of pudding will be in the concept proving next year.
Jay, you’re playing big stakes here if you keep investing more and more ; maybe you’ll hit big, but there’s a chance you’re gambling and lost track of Pharma risks
No sign of any news, as Indi has suggested time and time again - until 2019..
No sign of 20 to 30p as share ...as that’s impossible.
Company tribes post relentless PR on here purporting to know of insider things, and heavy newsflow - there hasn’t been any.
Share price and Market Cap dependant on Chinese playing ball
What I was saying - before AIM reported it -
Was that look back 8 months with this company and try to take your experiential position from that standpoint.
Would you be happy if fast-forwarded to now? We have our innate ability to create our own desired consequences and outcomes (confirmation bias), but going back to March, it wasn’t just a massive newsflow (and 20p by September) that had been promised by some..
It was also widely discussed that NFX would be in a myriad of other negotiations in the US and Europe to strike more deals and licence agreements.
So go back then and fast forward now...Where are they? Not one, or even a hint of one.
Although I remain (uneasily) invested here, IO see this company as being increasingly at the mercy of two things..
A) Being a one/two -trick pony - where are the other developments??)
But more worryingly for me, b) It seems we are at the sole mercy of the Chinese..and therefore subject to pressures that will lead us whichever way.
In some ways they seem to have us over a barrel - unless someone can tell me of any other European/US licensing discussions going on with NFX?
From a personal perspective, if I could rewind back to March and see where we’res At, I would not be happy at all, even though some have been soothed by the mellifluous tones of re-assurance from the CEO .(and that’s his JOB to do that!)
Just one word of caution, as I’ve noticed some habitual and contradictory behaviour regarding the CEO..
Statements like “ I believe him first and foremost” etc etc.. CEO’s never give negatives. Never. They have inbuilt confirmation bias by definition. So don’t look for anything other than positives when talking to PR or CEOs.
When someone said it’s the first place to go - in some ways, it’s the LAST place to go for untarnished news.
And Jay, a few months ago you were heavily dismissive of Dan, the comms etc, almost disillusioned by nfx’ lack of progress. It seems a few e-mails have assuaged those fears and now you’re totally ‘onside’ again.
Best line to walk is down the middle. You’ve been pulled one way, now t’other.,
