They allow it to be forgotten by never mentioning it again and by ignoring it when it is brought up on social media. They also sometimes deny that they said it by adding caveats to say such that "oh it would have been a 1930's style recession but the government printed more money / got lucky with the weather / found a cure for covid" or some such other reasons that they would have been right without it.
I think that it is highly unlikely that this share will nearly double in the next four weeks.
It's simple - if you say something extreme that nobody else has said then if it comes true you are a visionary.
People just forget it if it does not come true.
They are all charlatans - they have said this every time there is any form of global crisis for the last 50 years. It has never come true.
These economists always say there is going to be a 1930s style decline. It gets them in the press and if they are right they can claim to be a genius. If they are wrong (which they always are) then they pretend never to have said it.
It is win-win for them.
I was reading someone on the Bohoo board yesterday who claimed that because Amazon was worth $1.5 trillion then Bohoo should be worth $100 billion so I think that you are doing yourself down here prosper.
m_wall - that may or may not be true. But the first rule for any business that does operate practices like that is "Don't Get Caught" and definitely don't get caught by the papers and have the story spread all over the global press.
PR recovery job needed here now and a pretty significant one at that.
There will be a second wave as winter comes. That is almost inevitable. Let's just hope that we deal with the next wave a little more sensibly that we did this one.
It does indeed. A sizeable purchase that one.
Why?
The market clearly does not think that at the moment.
That seems a very low median.
There is definitely massive volume in thie market for HUR
Excellent videos Hindy
Oh, and anyone who knows anything about the stock market knows that after a global expose on dodgy practices like that which has happened to Bohoo today means that the share price will go down when the markets reopen.
The only thing in question is how much the share price will drop.
In my experience anyone who posts on these boards claiming their posts are in the best interest of other investors is a liar.
There have bee a lot of reports all over the world of doctors being "encouraged" to list deaths as coronavirus.
I think that it would be worth looking at the email format of the company and then sending this to the new directors. Cope won't care as she is on borrowed time anyway.
Agreed. You have to cut your cloth according to your means and that starts with Sanderson and his ridiculous £767,000 per annum salary.
Agreed
Please keep things civil on here people - no personal insults. We are better than that.
