I see our partners in West Newton Union Jack Oil (UJO) are raising through a £2M placement this month for further developments in the USA. No mention of any further funding for West Newton. Is this significant knowing the dire straits Rathlin now finds itself in?

So Reabold will have to shortly fund Rathlin (operator of W.N) alone by the look of it to keep it afloat.

N.B When UJO floated that they needed further funding the share price dropped 40%

If the same happens to RBD then the price would drop to 0.036.

Their Annual results are due out by the end of next month.

Cash in Rathlin at 31st December 2019 was £18.1 Million

Cash in Rathlin at 31st December 2023 was £2.1 Million,,,, a huge cash burn with no signs of any return.

We will find out what is left at 31st December 2024 by September 30th this year (next month)

I am expecting more funding before the end of next month along with a massive dilution, otherwise major liquidity problems on the near horizon.

Just going through the motions is a distinct probability. They have to give the illusion that all avenues are being explored. It also justifies their own existence (and salaries).

When most businesses are in serious financial trouble the one common agenda they share is playing for time, or as the Americans put it 'kicking the can down the road'. This is mainly in the forlorn hope of something just turning up, which rarely occurs. I agree with PAUL1DEANO that Colle Santo will never go ahead. Trying to change the minds of the Commission over in Italy using technicality arguments will only make them 'dig their heels in' even more. But it will delay the inevitable, which really is the true reason for this further submission. So we are now left with the original 'transformational' oil play in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Wait a minute, it's only Gas now, and then years away from production if ever.

R.I.P Colle Santo, and I hope speculative investors with deep pockets luck with the upcoming funding. Your sure going to need it.

Itsawrap. of course there are opportunities to make money but not here imho. I am well in front with RBD from years ago as those old hands on this site know. I bought initially a decent number at 0.4 (yes 0.4p) and sold at 1p. But that was many years ago before it became apparent that this was turning out to be just a lifestyle company for the two deceitful clowns at the helm of this sinking ship who got lucky once. Since buying a small number again a few years ago (I still hold) it has been a quest of mine to warm new people to trading to avoid and go elsewhere. What they do of course is entirely up to them, but they cannot say they were not warned.

Your inexperience both as a newbie investor and a business person showing up now smythery. Only been here '10 minutes' and it's appearing on a number of fronts.

I wonder why it takes them so long. Oh wait a minute, aren't they on £330K each per year plus other expenses and 6% pensions!
