afrc...My best guess is that the interim will be positive, it cannot be anything else really. But they will want to keep the lid on the price so most of the really good news will not be released until next June. In the meantime there may be another offer of a buy-back to hoover up as many of the shares in private hands as possible. I cannot see how a cash rich company like this will be able to defend no dividend payments much longer. The major II's will be getting restless. OMO and G.L to the few left holding.

Interesting, I hope this is correct. However I cannot see the rig leaving until the final consents have been approved. Perhaps someone who knows more than us has let something slip?

Am I correct in assuming that even if the necessary permits to go ahead with the Wick drill it would take about 2 weeks to get the ENSCO72 rig to the Wick field and spud.

luckyman2.......Not too sure about Monroe Swell, I'm under the impression that these wells in California produce a 'heavy oil' which if true present problems, due to the viscosity with both transportation (low temperature) and subsequent refining. I believe the resultant capital costs are approx 2 fold with respect to 'light crude'. I will be more than happy if I can be proved wrong.

Earlier in the year I forecast that a price of 0.85p would be achieved by June 21st and 1p by Xmas. I made my predictions on the premise at that time that Colter and Wick would have been spudded and info out by Xmas. I was correct in my prediction of 0.85p by June. As there is no possibility of Colter and Wick before Xmas I therefore put back my 1p prediction until next year ( with outstanding permissions granted) after both have been drilled. I take with a 'bucket of salt' the Whitman Howard release. This is based that on the fact they are one of Reabold's brokers and quite possibly as they also own equities in the company. A 437% upside is in my opinion an absolute joke. I would like to see their maths as to how they can justify this

Olderandwiser...........sometimes II's will 'bail out' if they see no movement in a timescale they will have set themselves. To cut possible losses in this way in an orderly fashion so as to not 'frighten the horses' is not unusual.

They could be passed at the same time or not. The company is hoping for Wick before the end of December and then Colter some time in the New year.

The current drift in my opinion (which I admit is not what I anticipated) is that this is mainly due to the lateness of the drills in Wick and Colter, and perhaps the realisation that alongside these delays are that the chances of success (cos) are 30% and 58% respectively.
